Any way you can add them in a update? I don't mind the delay but people love updates myself included and if the game is fun to start its a good way to get extra press after the release. Big updates get listed on all the IOS gaming sites front pages ( just happened with SCB) and it shows people you care about the game. Again if it's something you can't add in a update I'm fine with waiting.
i want to wait i believe you will make the wait worth it, plus i have a few games keeping me busy like red dead redemption goty edition so i think i can manage. good luck with the work, you will truly flourish if the game is as good as it looks and you stick with the project which it seems like
If you delay, that is fine, but make sure you keep the community informed. It has backfired on other developers.
Is there anyway through update? Obviously with this type of game more is better so I say do it either way. It would be really nice to see some new stuff to deal with this wonderful news ;p
Well I would like to see the game come out this month. There are already some company's making a Pokemon like game like yours. 3Dish looking monsters. I suggest you push this game to the app store before the other company's. It already didn't come out on my birthday. So, please push it to the app store. Surprise us with new Zenforms on another update. Thank you.
+1 I don't mind a delay as long as the Dev is actually working on the game rather than taking a vacation.
Exactly, the community needs a steady stream of new info to keep their interest. I'd be for the wait, but if at all possible I'd rather see this added as an update, so you could get the game out faster. But if that's not an option, then yeah, I can wait.
As long as more evolutions doesn't mean that the evolutionary "chains" fit together less, I'm all for it. Even if it means another month af wait, I'd say it would probably be worth it.
http://www.calisprojects.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=24 I hope I'm not breaking a rule here by linking to the CP forum, but it's for good reason. I've done a write up explaining the pros and cons for adding this new bunch of ZENFORMS. We have a plan that will allow us to add some of the new ZENFORMS before release and some as an update. This is the chart: http://www.calisprojects.com/zenforms/media/NEWZenLadderConcept.PNG Please have a read. It's for you guys to chat about. Oh and I am getting a lot of messages about other monster games coming for iOS. ZENFORMS is a fun game (I would say that wouldn't I), and it will be a cheap game. If you want to download it, it will be worth it. I'm a bedroom coder, I'm not trying to make tons of money. That is why the app will be cheap in the first place, I want people to just play it and enjoy it. I'm not worried about these other monster games. I feel a LOT of what people have showed me from those games showed those games have no personality or original ideas. We have worked on ZENFORMS: Protectors for nearly 2 years. The factor that will separate us from others is that the work will show. It's all wrapped up in a charm these other games don't have. Sorry for the rant lol.
I read the post and it still seems the best idea, to me atleast, to include these extra Zenforms and release at a later date if needed. I have one question regarding the evolution caused if the second and third stats are equal: would this form be significantly stronger than the ones that don't include a third stat, or is it balanced so that focusing on two stats can pay off as well? I can understand if they'd be a little stronger since you'll be spreading skill points wider, and should get an incentive for doing this, but it'll have to be carefully balanced.
I don't feel like reading through every page of this huge thread before posting this, so excuse me if I'm wrong, but how is this game original? You say that the other games are unoriginal but this one just looks like a Pokemon clone to me. Which I'm fine with I might add.
Evolutions, stats and the monsters themselves are handled differently, you can customize your character and the choices you make in the game influence the story. That's the stuff I can think of off the top of my head.
So as I haven't been bothered to read the whole thread, is it REALLY close, or just slightly close to pokemon?
You can go to their home page to get a quick over view of the game. To me, it looks like a loosely similar concept to pokemon but looks like the content of everything in the game is different than pokemon. http://www.calisprojects.com/zenforms/ @Zeo - I wouldn't mind waiting. If you were going making this for money than earlier release would hit that target, but you're going for quality and depth. As much as I want to play it, I would eventually regret not having opted for more depth if I voted for earlier release.
The game fits into the overall monster battling genre, but that's really it. All monsters stem from three "newborns" or starters. From there, they can evolve in multiple branching ways based on the users elemental preference and their stats, namely speed attack and defense. There are a total of 5 or 6 evolutions from newborn to the final stage and each provides opportunities for different zenforms upon evolution.
