That was true for console games. With how easy it is to update apps and thrive off of user comments, I say release it soon and we can all work on it together!
It's fine, dude. I wouldn't provoke somebody for no reason, unless their post was filled with bias and hate. That's a reason.
That's true, but starting off with a buggy game makes you start out with bad ratings, and people who won't look at the game, even when it's updated.
Wow so far the game is going to be really good like even better like a regular pokemon game. Im going to enjoy this when it comes out. Every update you add up to the game gets really exciting. You should add all the real pokemon in the wild as a rare chance to get them in a special island. Thanks for everything you have done to the game we will all love it. P.s. when is the game coming out?
And my thought on that is how in the app store it shows the most recent update's rating. So people see that rating first. The other way to see it is that it is a Pokemon clone, and tons of people will download it if there is just one good review. Pokemon has created that kind of fan base.
welp Quick question, just in case I'm not the only one: Do the sprites for the characters look normal to everyone? To me, every character looks a little too round and pudgy. That's fine for some characters but as a universal body shape I just don't know. I thought it might have just been 'my problem' when I saw it a few months ago but every time I come back to check on the status of the game it's still a big eyesore for me. If there's anything artists could do to make the images for people a little more normal in shape that would make a huge difference for me. I think it could even help the game tooI mean, we're going to be looking at our character for the entire game so that's one general sprite you really want to get right, and the way characters look is also going to give people a general first impression of the game when they see screenshots in the iTunes store. Anyway, good luck developing. Release the game when it's ready! I don't mind waiting... (but paradoxically, I can't wait!)
Or if you want a more recent let down, 10+ years and look at what Diablo 3 has become? Already a botting central with thousands of exploits along with mass accounts being hacked? Looks like they took their sweet time and just wanted the money. Anywho, if I have to wait so long for this game, I'm sure others will come along. This game was promised back in Feb-March, now wont even be out for July. I'll just stick to computer games. Go ahead and take your sweet time Neo-Dragon, it may not look like it but you will lose fans/players the longer you take.

I'll answer some questions I saw. Be sure to ask me any other questions or offer feedback. It really does help shape the game! The NPC/Overworlds being fat Ha yeah I talked about the overworlds and their "chunkiness" before. It is an art style decision yeah. We had 3 different NPC styles throughout development. Before that, we had 2 other templates (styles) before I settled on that look. I wanted something that looked different when you saw it. I didn't want it to look like a pokemon fan game. Their NPCs are very recognisable, so I wanted my own look for the NPCs with ZENFORMS: Protectors. Will there be an intro cinematic No there isn't. Art is my weakness. I use commission artists, so more art I get, the more it costs me. In the future, who knows, maybe I'll make one lol. is there going to be different weather patterns? Not yet. I had done some experiments with a snow effects, but can be hard to do correctly. I would want to do something special with weather that could impact gameplay. So until I get it right- the answer is no really, but that is just for now hopefully! If I missed a question, feel free to ask me. Just post it here, or PM if you wish. Love that you said you been working on different weather patterns like snow. That would be so awesome, because I live in the USA in Michigan and it snows a sh#@ ton. Also, for the characters being fat, you cant put thin, husky, fat or something like that, so everyone is happy? I cant wait for this game, really cant. . Last, WHEN you get rich, can you try to make a multiplayer mode, where we can see other people walking and text to talk to them and also have like a team/clan? I think everyone would agree with me on this. Also, mini games like fishing tournaments with real people and we get to watch or join in . I so creative P.S. If you can get the snow effect working properly, I will gladly donate some money to you. . Also, can we submit ideas and designs to you for clothing for the characters when the game is released? I think that would help out a lot. By adding the simple things in the game.
Something that bothers me... In this picture, the "wild grass"'s pixel size is way bigger than the rest of the graphics and is inconsistent. That's something that wouldn't show up in the gameboy advance or just any actual game/console that uses sprite graphics.
I have to agree with you on that, good eye. Hope Neo can dull down the color a bit on grass and also, shrink the grass a bit.
Yeah snow, rain, i would glady donate aswell, the more you add the better the game becomes. TBH though i love the game now, an i think it will be better than most newer pokemon games if you can get it all right. The older pokemon games was the best but this looks better than all the new ones. Im hoping for weather patterns an some sort of transport, something like a train that takes you from one city to next, maybe a boat / ferry. But yeah can't wait to play it! just hope you dont add the same joypad as geo society, that was hard to control especially if you have a screen protector on.
Vivio - great eye. I'm glad you spotted that. For you to notice the double pixel size means you were paying attention to those screenshots. I'm taking that as a compliment. Some areas, very few, still have "temp" tiles in place. That was one of them. I used to have a different style for the shrubs, but I didn't like it. The "tall grass" in the screenshot you quoted was actually from a public tileset Calis Projects (my game business) released in 2010 for pokemon fan games. They were 16 by 16 pixels. While I waited to get the new graphics, I said I might as well use some of my older graphics from the fan game tileset lol. So I doubled it up. Here is the revamp of those shrubs. I want something that stands out from the rest of the map. You'll notice there is no traditional shadow matching the rest of the map's style. This is a design choice. The shrubs (yeah, I don't call it "tall grass" lol) should stand out as soon as you see them. A player should know there is something different about them than the rest of the map (this is a visual clue that this is where wild battles can be found). About the weather I've decided to add it to my list of things to try add as part of the first update. I'll have more details on a weather system for Version 1.1.
New ravamped tall grass, I mean "shrubs" looks a lot better now. Also, it's great you decided to add weather to your to do-list.
