Hey guys. Sorry I haven't posted much. I'd like to say I was busy, but in fact, I was chilling out in the sun all week (I'll explain in the post later lol). This update was just posted on the CP forum and has lots of little details and even previews the new revamped website that I'll be launching soon. Enjoy. (Taken from the CP Post) So here is this weeks update. First off, I should state, I didn't get as much as I would like done. It's been very sunny and warm here in Ireland. It's pretty rare, so I've been out in the sun pretty much all the time. And yeah...... I'm sunburned Mainly, my focus this week has been coding storyline and time-based events. I should point out, the player I'm using in the screenshots lately is just the default look. Don't forget you can create you're own look at the start of the game ;-) The player watches his friend Keith walk off onto Cozade Road Lower I don't want to talk to much about the storyline events. It will spoil Version 1.0 for you. I'll end the topic of storyline in this update with that screenshot above. Time plays a key role in the game. Of course it's used so you go to school in the morning and you finish each day at 4PM, I'm also focusing on time-based events that will only happen through specific hours. An example would be - do you remember the teaser screenshot I posted of the player potentially looking at a house they can buy? Well the sales guy will only be around from 9AM to 6PM. I've tried to add "easter egg" style events based on time. When given the chance to explore, you will notice different things based on the time that may be referenced later on. This example shows the player's sister Shauna cooking food in the house. She will only be there after her work finishes at 5PM. You can chat to her then go and do whatever you have to do in the story. Later, part of the storyline events will be she is eating the dinner with you and talking about your day. So little things like those events that if you notice, you will see I paid attention to detail. You might not even see some of these time based events. Maybe because you didn't explore, or maybe you just missed it at the time. I'll end this update on this. Another big thing that will hopefully be launching at the end of next week is the new revamped ZENFORMS: Protectors website. The website was designed and coded by spaceemotion and he did a great job. It might not launch next week (I have to sort out some more details on it), but if it does, be sure to check it out. Here is a preview (might take some time to load!):
I have a question, if you change your skin and hair from the default look doest this change the skin and haircolour of your sibling(s) and/or parents or do these not change from the default? If this doesn't change will it ever change?
I can't wait for this game! I've been following it for a while now and I'm just so excited! Best of luck Neo-Dragon!
Hey everybody I have a question I haven't seen if it was answered I've been following this thread since it started. I just wanted to know if you'll need an active Internet connection to play the game. That's about it thanks for all the hard work it's looking fantastic!
I believe internet connection isn't needed to play the game.. this game is single player only with future plans of adding trading and battling online..
This looks amazing, cant wait to play it, gonna be one of my favourite games on the appstore. Ive been waiting for a game like this for a long long time since i played pokemon years ago. just some ideas I would like to see more story around the character an his town / city such as the school, instead of just one class i would like to see more an be able to roam around the school. also some other form of travel would be really good like in 1 town you could go on a boat / ferry / ship or a train to another region or a plane or something like that. Anyway keep up the good work, looks amazing ! Instant buy : (soon as it's out)
