I like those meme style images. I even reposted one on my twitter. It's cool to see people this excited for ZENFORMS. I have something I want to ask you. I posted this elsewhere, and the first comment I got was "GAY?". I don't think that is fair. This is the emotion icon for "love" in ZENFORMS. But when the icon is displayed, it doesn't mean love between 2 people, but they love what is being talked about. People seem to be confused. Think I should change it? Haha, I can see why some people may think that. But yes, it does seem a little confusing. Perhaps change the colour of the heart to a little less red~ish, blue perhaps?
Can easily be mistaken. Maybe you could change them to smiley faces, that way instead of 'loving' what they're talking about, they're 'enjoying' what they're talking about.
See the thing is. The face of the characters can change. They can be happy or sad and even laugh. For that added "impact" to dialogue (since there is no voice work) I added emotions like that so you can see the character's reaction. I don't want to use a happy face since the characters face will just change to happy if it's not already lol. I'm debating about using the same heart, but I think I'll do what Kenny K said - change the color. Or is there any other ideas? I should point out I use other icons for different emotions and reactions - like a "?" for confused.
Maybe instead of the heart you can put a speach bubble and have there reactions be happy? Looks great by the way!
this is my words, due reading calis forum and neo dragon personal blog i think the game will be release in my opinion in july, for several days since i know the existence of zenforms i create this thread and looking for more informations, since this my days is verify the calis forum and this thread every day more than one time. for neo dragon, made this the better game on app store so take your time, one person indie game developer it´s not easy and the game type that you was made has so many fans (i'm was one this fans), please don't make the errors like kyro of geosociety or studios that make MinoMonsters or moga zodiac. make zenforms a real game which is inspired in pokemon not like these that i said. i will waiting, but not in this month more or june. thanks a lot for your hard work and made your dream our dream game. i have a lot hope in you, monimals and my my monster has potencial but i think nothing will be like zenforms the true pokemon for iphone
I think the hearts as they are wouldn't be too bad. One would just need to read the dialogue they were presented it. It probably wouldn't appear so "gay" if it was read in context.
maybe just have the character currently speaking have the heart animation, that way its just the character liking what its saying versus both liking eachother
People have been taught to see hearts as a simple of "love" it would probably be best to change the icon to one that doesn't have that double meaning.
Take away the heart icons and put words in a speech bubble saying they love there first day of Zenforms protector school. Also, could make them give eachother a high five and show a tinier heart. So we know they love there first day.

I posted this on the CP forum and I have to repost it here!!! Someone quote this post when the thread gets to page 41 so others see it on that page too. That way they don't have to click back and scroll down to this post to see it! - - - - - - - - This is the event when you can capture a Pikachu in ZENFORMS. Members of The Revolution open an inter-dimensional portal and bring a Pikachu back from the other side. Because of this traveling between dimensions, the Pikachu is confused and acts evil with The Revolution. It's up to the player to stop it! Head up the Cozade Road Upper after seeing the destruction the Pikachu caused in the City (Pikachu made an elderly couples' lights in their house blink with his electricity). Confront them to start the battle. Remember that you have to make Pikachu faint. Send in an adult ZENFORM to make Pikachu faint from just looking at the size of an adult ZENFORM (you can see the Newborn Freno is much bigger then Pikachu). After making Pikachu faint, The Revolution will get bored with him and just give the Pikachu to you in something called a Pokeball. This will end the event and you have your own Pikachu! Oh and Happy April Fools day!
looks like a great game neo, its been fun watching it grow. heres my take on it...i like that zenforms and my my monsters and other games geared towards the style that pokemon has to it, they are addictive!! just so you get an idea its not that i wouldnt buy it i would play both games just out of curiosity if anything else. but i will say there are tons of other games it might have to wait for thats all. but anyway....if waiting longer means a better fuller experience then i guess i have no choice but to wait (even though i dont want to damn you!! ) oh yeah and the pikachu homage was very cool
Holy sheep, I had no idea the Pikachu event was a joke until I saw the last line. I love the idea though, if only it was real...
