That's quite rude. You don't have to constantly support a game. That's up to them and you don't know what they went through.
True, true. Especially since Kyro spent many weeks/months listening to our complaints and bugs after Geosociety's release and took the time to fix a lot of them. Although there are still some bugs left, you (itouchbd) have no right to say that Geosociety had no support.
kyro didn't give us a finished product he gave us a part of a product with the intention of pursuing updates(he did a few ill give him that) you seem to forget that you could not get very far in the game when first downloaded(got the game first day i think) and after a certain point you could not do the other missions if im not mistaken. i think he only got up to the b missions maybe a but the storyline was never completed to my knowledge. so by not finishing the game he left us with an unfinished product. i have no problem with the system if we get what we were promised i don't even think kyro said anything and just stopped responding because i used to watch that forum like a hawk. i would even of been happy if he would of just cut his loses halfway through and just pursued the sequal even though i paid for what was promised(a finished game). im not saying somebody that gave a finished product must be forced to pursue the game with free updates, i think free updates pay off in the long run anyways but thats just my opinion. i was incredibly happy with geosociety before kyro stopped communicating or working on it.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion guys, but I don't think you guys should talk/argue about that game (Geosociety) here in this thread. I only played it recently and I don't think ZENFORMS is like it at all. I didn't like a lot of thinks about it (the tiles being half the size of ZENFORM tiles - they were pokemon fan game tiles too). The characters were also too small, rips and slight edit from pokemon games and also very "jpeg" looking. ZENFORMS is a very high quality game for only a 2 man team. I think we will stand out from those games a lot because the game was in development for so long. We didn't randomly buy our creatures from a commission artist like other games. We designed them ourselves the sprites are from the same artist to keep it constant. ANY WAYS - A NEW TEASER VIDEO: We are still not ready to fully reveal our battle system. We are WORKING SO HARD ON IT! I promise! This video shows the start of a MultiBattle (talked about in the last update). Also shows you more of the UI and effects. Tell me what you think. Oh and - this is a WIP and TEST battle- not real stats http://youtu.be/_XKySkwZ6CQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XKySkwZ6CQ Hot off the presses of Calis Projects Facebook page, another teaser! Edit: too late...
Cry more, no one cares, not even a little. Atleast, not i don't. Who cares if they swindle some sprites from a large corporate machine that cant be bothered to pop out a game on iOS where others clearly can. They'll only try to get all over this if it starts making some serious money and they think that they can swipe some of it.
Nintendo WILL NEVER release games on other platforms but they're own. And personally, I think its good that they kept it that way. Not that I wouldn't LOVE some of their top titles to be on iOS, but they have a fanbase to focus on. Why release a game on another portable console when they could just easily release it with better production value and development with their own platform and engine. People can whine or voice out all they want, but unlike other companies, they HAVE their OWN console. Capcom, EA, just to name a few, DON'T. Do you see any MS or The Big 'S' own in-house titiles on iOS? NO! And seriously, stop with the Geosociety thing on this thread. This is dedicated to and for ZENFORMS. Let's keep it that way. The least people could do is respect the devs and NOT getting off-topic. Thanks for keeping us updated with another great vid. Keep it up.
Shut the heck up. You don't know what you're talking about and you're ignorant. Nintendo has clearly stated that games will not be released on iOS. Who the heck are you to make judgement and say they should? Why does Nintendo have the Nintendo DS? I guess you lack the brain power to think. You support stealing? I hope you get robbed one day.
No no, in no way, shape, or form do I support stealing but if there sprite are indeed "stolen from Pokemon" as someone stated then no kidding, it is wrong but if no-one is going to stop them doing it then they can in ahead, it isn't on my head. Re-reading my post i a can clearly see how you came to that conclusion and I'm sorry for any initial anger i caused but i stand by my point of; if they aren't going to make the game for iOS somebody else should have a crack at it. Melvin, in no way did i judge Nintendo and say that they SHOULD make games for the mobile market I was trying to say that if they aren't going to do it, why not let someone else? Besides, if the Pokemon creators/owners wanted to do something about the sprites being "stolen" they would have done it already, maybe. I guess we'll just have to wait and see on that front. Also, never ever should you wish something so negative on someone such as being robbed. When such things happen people loose all sense of safety in their home and fall ill under stress, come off work with stress, lost earnings, that shit can really ruin someone. Perhaps it's you who lacks the brain power to think. Way to show yourself as a second class citizen champ.
Thanks Ghostz for the hug. Please don't turn this thread into a flame war - especially over a game that this thread is not about. It's pretty upsetting to read over the last page of posts. I think that you guys should talk over PM on the issue but not here. I'm a huge fan of the pokemon games and games like it. In fact, I was a mod of the game development section of the Pokecommunity for over a year and I've been developing pokemon fan games for a long time. This is one from 2006 (game was in development since mid 2005) Pokemon: Digital Network http://youtu.be/nrS1r1zCtvs And this is from 2007: Pokemon: Protectors http://youtu.be/VACIK_ixZGc As you can guess by the name - ZENFORMS: Protectors started as a version of that game that got morphed into it's own idea. I've been working on ZENFORMS for 2 years (explains why there is no Retina display support since I started the game in March 2010). I've been a paid Apple Developer for the entire time because I wanted to test on the device as early as possible. I've never released an app. I wanted ZENFORMS to be my first game because I wanted to be proud of it. That is why I'll be releasing the game for less then $3 - I just want people to play it because I'm excited I turned the idea of an RPG I've pretty much has since 2005. Seriously check this image out (dated 2011 because I took it last year to show a friend): http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/8228/thenandnowupdate.png I care so much about the game, and it's because of the feedback from here and on the Calis Projects forum that I've improved the game a lot (remade the battle system for example). By replying here, it means a lot to me since we are just a 2 man team. So please, don't ruin this thread with hate comments at each other.
I won't turn this into a flame war, i believe i've made my point and i'll leave it at that. Ghostz is right there aren't enough developers with a heart as big as your own, who cares so much to push their game back a month to add more content for the initial release as well as polishing and fine tuning. Most would have released it, fixed it and added content as paid IAP, maybe.
Is the game on time, will it be released sometime this month? Oh, I wanted to ask, will it have Game Center achievements?
