Hey guys, I am in need of some advice in a monitor to buy. I am looking for a monitor that can play both my Macbook Pro and XBOX in ideally HD. I have looked on CNET and found many products that I have liked, but few have been mac compatible. So, I was wondering if this community which has many mac users can recommend a system that can do both, ideally between $150-250. Thanks!
I know I saw Arn's in an interview in what I think was the New York Times. It was GIGANTIC. Had two full-sized (at least for most monitors) browsers open side-by-side clearly showing TA and MacRumors. Anyone know what is was? Probably no $150-$250, though.
Yeah, it's that pic... and it's an Apple monitor. The little apple with a chunk bitten out is down there at the bottom. 30 inches, right on, yourofl10! ... erm, as for price, worldcup1100, you're better off getting yourself a small TV.
Do you check www.slickdeals.net? If there is a good price on something it will show up there, there is normally a monitor every couple of days, you just have to wait for something that has dvi/vga(mac) and hdmi(xbox).
You can also get a VGA cable for the 360, which looks great. VGA and HDMI are so close in comparison that some displays will show one better and some will show the other better. Either way they're both HD so don't sweat it if you can't find HDMI.
I just did and that looks like a pretty good site. Thanks. I am only looking for it to be 23". So, no issue there. I already have an HMDI cable so that would be ideal, but I would be willing to buy the cords if necessary.
Wow, the basic tv's are pretty darn cheap too, I'll be sure to check those out. Is there really any difference in running the computer on a TV or a monitor? They just seem to be doing the same thing with different names. Any help? And, do you personally use it as a monitor?
I have a 22" monitor, it was $200 at bestbuy, i think it may have what you need...idk... it has a 'W' on it correct me, it is a Westinghouse monitor
Anyone have any experience with this TV? I know it leaves my price range, but I am slowly talking myself into more dough. http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-tvs/samsung-ln26b360/4505-6482_7-33575451.html?tag=rnav
Sorry to double post, but... I am feeling that the Samsung XL2370 is the best and it has all that I need, but my issue is the audio. My plan is to hook them up to my turtle beach headphones and use surround but the only audio out port is a headphone jack. If I buy a adapter in the red and white wires (is that A/C?), will it be able to run surround sound?
