Hello. I'm a new member and i just want to introduce myself. My name is Neisy Wilson.I'm a singer, pianist and composer based in Montreal,Canada. Since 2011 i have been creating original music for animated films and television, and i recently finished to score an indie video game. It was one of the most excitement professional experiences that i had by far. In order to develope myself as a game composer,I'll be more than happy to forming part of a creative indie game developer team. I would like to invite to listen my audio demo reel: http://soundcloud.com/neisy-wilson/audio-demo-reel You can check it out this animated film with an original music that i created http://vimeo.com/album/2289147/video/50314378 Thanks
Hello and welcome to touchArcade! May I ask... Neisy Wilson as in Cuban jazz singer? But no, that would be too much of a coincidence. edit: checked the links. It's obviously you.
Yeah, my wife's brother is a big jazz and classic fan, an audio freak. One wall of one of his house's rooms is covered entirely in full LP- and CD-racks. I heard a few of your songs and, well, Instantes and The Island gave me goosebumps. They go best on a warm summer night with a glass of good red wine. You are blessed with a fantastic bluesy, jazzy voice.
Hi Niesy. Hope you enjoy TA. Ill have to check out your tunes tomorrow. I love chilled bluesy stuff. Can't get much past you Vovin!!
Yeah, her CD is named "Incantes" if I remember correctly. *goes checking* Ah, yeah, it's on iTunes. Well, Cuba brought us a lot of the best Cuban and Afro-Cuban jazz singers. Haha, Graciela Perez-Grillo and Machito were icones. Too bad Gracie died a few years ago, but she was already over 90. Or Bauza. Practically invented cuban jazz. Eh.., sorry, Neisy, for de-railing this thread.
Hey Vovin, Thanks for the tip on Neisy's music. Now I'm gonna go to itunes and download at least those two songs you mentioned! Never know what you might discover here!
I guess that these songs are not everybody's cup o'tea, but at least you can call this music... real compositions with heart and soul, unlike that mass-produced stuff you get hammered in your ears every day. But I am a person who likes a lot of genres and different music styles anyway, except a few. Oh, and Neisy, maybe you should make your request or what you are here for much clearer in the thread title, or it might be missed by those you're seeking to contact, like "Pianist / music composer looking to team up with creative indie developers". That instantly gives them a clear idea. Or get a dev account on touch Arcade, then you have access to the inner developer section.
Hi Vovin. I'm really happy to see your knowledge about latin jazz music. It's very rewarding when someone truly love and like these style of music. And you're right I have to be more clear about why I'm here, that is basically to compose for games.I didn't have a idea about the dev account possibility,so thank for the tip. and have a great and creative week.
Thanks, Neisy. Well, I am trying to be open to every kind of music. So, what have I found here? A backstage performance of "The Island". Huuwwwh, goose bumps alarm. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel PS: Guys, no PMPs (personal message proposals), please.
