So I can get a new laptop soon, and I was wondering which one I should get. It has to be under 1k. I don't really care about how it looks, etc. but I want it to last a couple years (3-4). I'm going to use it for probably some gaming (Ie. some fps, starcraft maybe, assassin's creed, etc.), maybe video editing, obviously itunes and basic homework stuff. Maybe programming if I'm ever interested. So I want a good processer, etc. And a pretty large hardrive. I know almost nothing about computers, since all the ones I have access to can't do anything. other than the internet and microsoft office.... on one of them. And I don't really want a mac so.... what should I get?
Hey phattestfatty. You should invest in a good graphics card, decent processor, and as you said, large harddrive (or ssd, but that'll prob take up too much money). If you're gonna do gaming and video-making, you should get at least 2GB RAM at a fast speed like DDR3 1333Mhz. For the processor, you can get nice Intel 2nd-generation CORE processors, or spend less and get AMD processors. For the harddrive, get one with good speed. For the graphics card, you can get nice NVIDIA ones, but you can also, like the processors, spend less and get ATI ones. Get at least 1GB ones. Remember, cooling systems are important too, and don't buy some random computer from a non-trusted source -This was coollog. Yea.
