Yup, so basically the iPod Touch users paid for 2.0 twice for a grand total of around $21. That absolutely sucks.
Ooo stupendous. So, there is a 3rd Gen iPod Touch with 3.0, right? I might as well just buy that and sell my 2G.
Seriously, oh Apple. Messing up the in-app game purchases, messing up the 3.0 update by accidently leaking it, messing up stereo bluetooth (no iPhone 1st Generation support). I'm somewhat disappointed.
Apple Store claims Apple hasn't made any mention to them about a 3rd gen iPod Touch. You'd think they would if it would release in a few months. But who knows. Ricky, your question has been answered 2 pages back.
Theoretically, if you go over the 11 page limit with a few apps and they are "hidden, the search feature (called Spotlight) should "find" those apps and you should be able to launch them from there. ... Right? I haven't really seen anyone confirming that. Can anyone with 3.0 confirm this? Fill the device past the 11 page limit. Go to "spotlight search". Search for an app that isn't on any of the 11 pages (but is on your device...just hidden). Does it show up in Spotlight? Can you launch it from there with no issues?
So since there's this bluetooth feature now, does that mean I could connect a bluetooth headset and use any voice features that I otherwise couldn't have with the ipod? Other than that, I really don't see a point in updating am I the only one? It just seems like it's sort of a rip-off to me, the only useful features drain the battery an incredible amount and just give you easier ways to shell out more money. Am I missing the excitement here?
Is anyone else's AppStore not letting you install/update apps? Hopefully they're updating it to have just the apps that work with 3.0
