      Wrong section, but I'll forgive you as this is an exception. As Big Albie said, I think I'll wait for some people to try it out first in case it is still a bit buggy.

      noticed that too

      My download is slowing dramatically as people figure that out.

      First 30 seconds it was a 3 minute download...then slower...slower...now 16min

      my iphone has 2.2 still, it's still saying the latest update is 2.2.1 do i need to switch to 2.2.1 and THEN to 3.0?

      Turns out that if you previously bought the 2.0 update you don't get the 3.0 for free. :(

      I'll wait to see what people think of this first.

      I've found a few bugs in beta build of the appstore with the whole changing of what icons are on the bottom (it forgets and goes back to the default)

      But other than that it works perfect on my 1st gen.

      Even if it had a few bugs I would deal with it for copy/paste, landscape keyboards, spotlight search, and push notifications

      Probably not. I'm sure you can upgrade directly to 3.0. If you can't, try downloading the firmware through the internet, then install it onto your device using the "option + Restore" thing.

      You were never supposed to get it free...
      Don't know why you expected it free but it's been clearly stated that 3.0 is a paid update

      Hmm I'll only get this if the bluetooth allows wireless syncing with a mac. Anybody try that?

      Well last night when the update was leaked it said I had previously bought it. Turns out the link was for the 2.0 update but showed the 3.0 page... Anyway surely it would be fairer to give the people who bought 2.0 the 3.0 update for free? The again Apple isn't really fair.
