@macplash I am genuinely curious; you seem to be right across every single game on this forum and deep in to every single one. How do you have time for it? Maybe it’s just now if you’re in lockdown? But do you have family or work to do at home? I’d love to game as much as you but just can’t get that time. No family, just a wife for me, but am working from home now myself.
@Talbs yeah, wife and kids and work. But I’m my own boss and mostly just supervise on projects and whatnot. I’m past the need to do the graphics for fun in my spare time so I keep it strictly work related last couple of years. I’m just trying to relax and enjoy myself. So, yeah. But there’s really just a few games I’m coming back to repeatedly. I’m not gaming on other platforms that much (or at all lately), just iPad mostly. And playing games comes with a cost. I like to fool around in Procreate, Affinity bundle, LumaFusion etc, but instead of doing that I’m playing games.
Well thanks for sharing. Being your own boss is definitely a great thing, though still needs discipline to keep things moving along. I’m not quite in a situation like that but do have a very flexible work place, though similarly, need to watch that I don’t overstep the liberties by doing non work stuff. I think one thing I need to change, and that seeOmg your posts makes me realise, is that I squander a lot of time I could’ve spent playing great games by firing up YouTube and the likes and going down those rabbit holes instead. Even if it’s YouTubing playthroughs of the game I was intending to play lol. Like recently I got back into terraria on mobile but found the controls had changed and were a major issue. So I watched a couple of mobile playthroughs and found the YouTuber initially had the same issue with the controls but is now slaying it after getting used to them. That was reassurance for me to keep trying, but needless to say, I find something soothing about just firing up more playthroughs even now lol. So it’s good to see Your comments of game progression because it reminds me to dive back in to stuff I remember really enjoying. Like Dead Cells. I’ve played plenty, but still only on 0BC lol, because I keep only wanting to dive in to the daily challenge so not risk losing my current run lol. All the while I should just forget that fear of progress loss, and just enjoy the game.
@Talbs About the Dead Cells. If you want to discuss that, let's continue in the proper thread. I've invested some serious time in to this game and every single minute was worth it. Let's talk about that. So make sure you copy/paste those parts about daily challenge, risk of losing your current run and being stuck on 0BC because I've got plenty to respond to that. YouTube, I know excatly what you're talking about. I'm not watching walkthroughs and/or playthroughs anymore, but I did a lot in the past. I remember downloading the whole walkthrough of God of War 3 which was like 10GB of footage and I watched it from start to finish like 4-5 times. I didn't have PS3 back then and I really admired the game. It was years later I bought the console and had an opportunity to play it myself. Than again with remastered edition. But since then I just rather play games instead of watching someone else playing them for me.
