    Just released in the App Store a few days ago, my game, Lawn Bowls for the iPhone or iPodTouch.

    [IMG]

    Here's the description in case you want to check it out? (Feedback appreciated!)

    Welcome to International Lawn Bowls, the first ‘old-school’ bowling game for the iPhone or iPodTouch.

    In the game of Lawn Bowls, players take turns to roll their bowls along the green trying to finish with their bowls closest to the Jack. Depending upon the amount of speed and angle, bowls will follow a curved path toward the Jack. This creates a skillful game of precision-aiming, fast-driving and tactical-blocking.

    (Full rules and instructions are included in the game).

    Features include:

    • Full 3D environment, with accurately simulated physical objects and collisions;
    • Simple and intuitive (yet tactical and engaging) game with colourful graphics;
    • Support for up to 4 players in the same game (with comical random names);
    • Play against your friends, or play against the CPU AI controlled players;
    • Bowl using the Touch-Screen (can be comfortably used one handed);
    • Bowl using the built-in Accelerometer (tilt for angle, acceleration for power);
    • Interactive cameras, fluidly track the action from various positions and angles;
    • Challenging game play with 3 levels of AI difficulty;

    Here is a link to the trailer:

    Enjoy!

    It's like Bocce ball; I've got a few courts close by my house where old Italian retirees fight over this all the time.

    Looks great!

    Looks like fun!

    Reminds me of home, when dear-old Blighty was home for the first 27 years of my life.

    You've priced this at $2.99? That doesn't sound too bad for a game that looks polished... are you planning a Lite version too?

    I know, I know, "It's only $3" everyone will cry, but seriously, the number of games I've bought because I've tried really nice Lite versions continues to rise. :)

    The highly detailed graphics really caught my eye when this was released. Is this based on a real "lawn" game? Or is it completely based on the developers idea? Thanks. Looks amazing.

    Thanks - yes, I have thought about making a Lite-Version of this, but I'm finding it hard to figure out how to limit the game play in a lite version, without limiting the game play (if you know what I mean)?

    - Suggestions for this are welcomed here though...

    :)

    How about just throwing the ball? just to get a feel of it, it could be in the entertainment section too.

    - It pretty much follows the official rules, but with slightly more emphasis on driving (where the bowls are rolled fast). The AI players are a challenge too!

    One last thing, will there be a price drop in the next week? Sorry but I HATE it when devs dorp the price right after the release.

    No - the price will defo remain. A lite (free) version is very possible at some point though.

    Does it have statistics (winnings/losses)?

    Looks great anyway. :)

    Great game -- but occasionally freezes

    This has become my favorite game. The AI is excellent, and game play is fun because success is a function of skill, not luck. My only major gripe is that the game occasionally freezes. When this occurs, it is after I have rolled a ball into the far pit. The only recourse is to restart the game.

    The current release doesn't keep track of historical wins/losses vs. the CPU; hopefully the next version will include that feature. (To the developer: The freezes are occurring on my second-generation 16GB Touch. It has been an intermittent problem; the game doesn't always freeze after the ball I've rolled has gone into the pit area).

    I bought, I kinda liked. I'm just a bit confused, what's up with the camera? It's great that I can see everything but I don't need to observe the ball every time before hitting it do I??:confused:

    NVMD I'm stupid.

    This is very relaxing!
