Hurrah....! Wait, what? It came back from the grave! Super happy! My most anticipated games are progressing at last!
I'll admit that was a big concern but we've been testing it out and even for someone with really big fingers like me, everything that needs to be touchable on the screen is pretty easily. There's a lot you don't see here, ike for example, when you touch the cards in your hand (the row of 7 small cards in player 1's area) you get a larger view overlaying this so you can actually see whats there and work with them. We're being very careful about the interface and making sure it's still usable on an iPhone screen. The only bad news is it doesn't look like we're going to be able to support older devices. iPhone 3Gs and better is probably going to be the threshold. On the iPad it's not even remotely crowded and it looks (if you'll excuse the self-back-patting) absolutely stunning even on the original iPad. At the moment we don't want to talk too much about release dates, but we've got a team working on this now, not just a programmer or two, and a pre-existing server-side framework to work with as well, which should speed up development nicely. We're waiting for a little more info from our publisher and then we'll be putting out a press release with more info. Hopefully in the next few days.
I know, I know, seemed to have become vapor. Trust me, no one's been more frustrated by the delays and lack of information than I have. It's been a very long road just getting to this point. In the end, the delays led to a complete overhaul of the entire game. Only the key concepts behind it were preserved, everything else was gutted and redesigned from the ground up, not only graphically but the entire design of the game-play as well. In the end, the game is going to be significantly stronger, more playable and accessible than it would have been. We're pretty proud of this game and can't wait for the players here to get a taste of a whole new kind of customizable trading card game. Thanks to everyone for your interest and support over the past couple of years. We're looking forward to bringing you Duels of the Runemasters!
Considering that the developer website is no longer live, I believe that I can safely close this thread. Quorlan, please PM me if the project is still alive.
