    Wow, 5.7 strikes again!

    It's been mentioned at the official NH site, too. It's arguably the best puzzle in the first half of the series.

    You'll get it. Just "think different," as the old Apple slogan used to say.

    So I bought Neuroshima Hex a while back. Ive been trying really hard to get into it. But somehow, it's really hard for me to grasp all the strategy. Usually, Im good at strategy games, but this one is super difficult especially with all the layers of strategy and all the different units. I have gone through the tutorial at least 3-4 times and I still cant grasp the strategy :(

    Will NH puzzle help me understand the game more? or are the puzzles so difficult that i need to learn how to play the game before i tackle the puzzles? Id be happy to buy this puzzle version to help me understand the board game because i reaaaallllllyyyyyy want to understand it. :p

    Yeah that's a fun one. I don't want to post anything here to spoil it but send me a PM if you really need help.

    Yes it will help you learn how to play the game. I'd also check out some online faqs about it if you're having trouble.

    Has the module resolution got a little update?
    The actual iPad game sometimes has problems with modules (units not attacking at all, wrong damage), I have not experienced with the puzzles yet.
    Otherwise: great game port!
    (Probally asked before, but when we will get multiplayer?)

    I picked this up during the brief sale but it's definitely worth the full asking price. I am a fan of NH and NHP is equally as brilliant. The original NH has a steep learning curve, no doubt about it, but once you get to grips with it the game is excellent. I'm really enjoying NHP and would recommend it to newcomers over the first NH game as I think it's slightly more accessible given that you only get one turn before all hell is let loose. Then again, you still have to learn how to play the game and there are a ton of units and tiles to get familiar with, so perhaps it isn't too accessible after all. Either way, both are great games but not for the casual gamer.

    I haven't seen this in my hundreds of games played on the iPad. Do you have any specific examples?

    I've said this before both here and at other forums, but anyone saying NH has these sorts of bugs needs to show me they have a thorough understanding of:

    1. The initiative order, and how tricky it can get;

    2. Nets;

    3. Armor (I'm always surprised by how many people don't know exactly how armor works);

    4. The difference between the Sniper and the Grenade;

    5. The trickier modules, including Snooper and Transport.

    I agree with TheDukester. I think a lot of the misunderstandings about this game stems from the fact that most people simply cannot be bothered to read the rules. All the points that you raised above are covered in the rules and explained. I appreciate that the rules for a game like NH are fairly long and complicated, but if people don't read it, then perhaps this is not the kind of game they should be attempting to play? I'm not saying that complications and apparent problems are not down to bugs but reading the rules makes a lot of difference.

    I've said before and I have no qualms with repeating myself here:

    READ THE RULES! NH is not for the casual gamer! If you want something easy to pick up and play, then look elsewhere.

    That's way too offensive ;). Neuroshima Hex Puzzle was designed to require much less willpower to start playing. Sure, for the original Neuroshima Hex there definitely is an entry barrier, one simply has to make an effort and read the rules, or at least pay some attention to the rules-explaining video.

    But NSHex Puzzle was intended to break this scheme. You have to admit, it's easier that the full-blown strategy game. The first few puzzles are trivial, I bet a smart 4 y.o. could solve them with ease. The learning curve was intended to go up slowly - and it does.

    The definite distinction between the two games is that NSHex Puzzle allows you to get in and get out anytime you want. You don't really loose anything. Quick glance at the board and description will set you up for great, fast battles. You can't be that much effortless in original NSHex. You need to plan your future moves, you need to remember why you placed this hex here and not there. Simply put - it's a strategy :)

    Should you decide you want to spend half an hour wiping enemies in ultimate strategy challange? Run NSHex! But if you are willing to have brief, nonetheless exciting time, which is by definition casual gaming, launch Neuroshima Hex Puzzle. Both are great by the way ;)

    Love the game! It is super fun and has finally helped me understand the actual board game app that I have been struggling with for months. Love it :)

    Ciechan, read that line you quoted again! I said "NH", not "NHP" ;)

    I agree with everything else you said. Both are great games but NHP is definitely better for newcomers. I believe the developer would concur with this as I read a similar comment from them somewhere else in this thread.

    By the way, I am a fan of iOS board games and I own quite a few. I have Carcassonne and several of the legendary Reiner Knizia's board games, but my favourite is NH and now NHP.

    I love and hate you guys! Now I will delve into puzzles soon so that I will know better how to play the full game. Its too bad that I will probably not be able to get my wife into this one, actually I don't even know if pass-and-play is an option.

    I do have a question, when the other faction packs come to the full game, will puzzle be updated with new scenarios for the new gameplay elements?

    Yep, after adding new armies to NH we will add those along with new puzzles to NHP.

    Okay. Just beat all 100 NH puzzles on my iPad and it feels good.

    Looking forward to more puzzles when the new armies are added.

    Any indication how long we'll have to wait for this BigDaddysCreations?

    Approximately even?

    Hi. I'm stuck in 3.4 for more than a day now. Can someone give me a hint, just a tip of how to solve it? thanks.

    Slowly getting the grasp of this fantastic game, and decided to buy Puzzles from the comments here that it helps with the learning curve.

    And y'all are absolutely right! I'm only at the end of the third set, and already I have a much better grasp of how the game works and plays. I was having fun before, and can see it getting much better now. :)

    Thanks for this! 3.10 was giving me a skull cramp after a couple of hours.
