I fully agree with you! Ascension's multiplayer is one of the best out there (along with Carcassonne). (add me on GC: tonydeli7)
We need online multiplayer!!! I just need to co-sign and completely agree. Please(if you havent by now) get an idea of how Ascensions' online & asynchronous multiplayer works...it's pretty much flawless in my opinion(notifications lag very seldom but not often enough to gripe in the least bit) and yes it makes that game even more amazing with how it's handled. I know I'll be non-stop once this day happens with Neuroshima Hex, because I know a lot more people will buy this perfectly executed game for multiplayer alone. Glad to see the thread more active too...maybe it'll get it out sooner along with even more expansions.
Hey guys i just bought the game. Is there any way i can see the info/stats of my tiles during deployment/battle?
Kudos to Big Daddy Creations for the just released Neuroshima Hex update. Hope the multiplayer feature is on the way too.. This game just screams for async multiplayer.
Yeah, if only, huh? But we should have our NH servers soon enough. I'm definitely calling in sick at work that day ...
Between this and Starbase Orion (and and possibly Pocket Heroes, plus current strategic async games such as Carcassonne and UniWar), we'll have enough to never stop clicking that turn button Neuroshima Hex devs, any new word on async multiplayer?
We're on it, guys - that's all I can say right now. We plan to launch async multiplayer this year, hopefully in the Autumn. Lukasz
It is well worth waiting for EDIT: When you do, or as an additional update, throw in some mechanics that create a sense of persistence and progression, and offer additional incentive to play, such as ELO ratings, detailed stats, leaderboards, possibly even integrated tournaments. One need just take a look at Words with Friends and Disc Drivin' to see two really entertaining asynchronous games that yet somehow fail to create ANY greater sense of purpose, beyond random matches.
Excellent news. That will be a glorious day, for sure. My only other feature request would be for basic statistics: wins, losses, longest winning streak ... maybe even broken down by faction.
Don't settle for just that See my posts above yours for suggestions on how to really add a nerdy wealth of persistent stats, scores and competitive factors to an async game @BigDaddy: Brilliant. The number of async game providing a truly competitive set of stats and mechanics are extremely few (Carcassonne has ELO, UniWar has ELO + some stats, etc). Neuroshima Hex could truly rise above the rest through stuff such as that which TheDukester and I suggested, and with the addition of integrated recurring tournaments, you could create the most competitive strategic async gaming community in the world.
