Dear BigDaddysCreations, I wrote yesterday a private message to you and would be happy when you are able to take the time to answer me Best wishes
Neuroshima Hex Lite is out! Neuroshima Hex Lite is a fully functional version of Neuroshima Hex except one thing you are only limited to play with Borgo against Hegemony controlled by AI on Easy. So tell your friends who still hesitate that they are now free to test Neuroshima Hex for free! http://itunes.apple.com/app/neuroshima-hex-lite/id406661696?mt=8
Wow! Hex has been on my Appshopper list for a very long time and it always tempted me. However, ravings of a wall-like learning curve always put me off. I got the lite this morning at work and, well, I couldn't stop playing! A few games later I was winning against the computer and understanding the basics. Including the manual is a HUGE plus and it's great to be able to look up the tiles descriptions somewhat easily. It'll be a few days before I can play a game without looking up descriptions but the investment is entirely worth it. There's a learning curve, but I guess it's been exaggerated a bit! Retina update is beautiful to look at and I can't wait to see the rest of the assets uprezzed. Bought and downloading as we speak. I'm curious to play as other races! Any chances of seeing different tiles backgrounds? EDIT: Found the Information Mode, tiles can be looked up VERY easily.
@iGecko, there's a learning curve, it's a war game afret all, but it's not that hard to start playing. On the other hand, you need few games to start winning! Glad you like the Information Mode @Drakeer Melkhor, who doesn't? Right now we're focused on iPad/Retina update. Next week we'll post few sneak peak screen shots from Retina version, so you can see how it looks like
Neuroshima Hex 1.20 sneak peak We were working for about a month on a new update that will hit the App Store at the beginning of 2011 and before that happens we'd like to show you few concepts and work-in-progress graphics, so you can know whta's coming With Neuroshima Hex 1.20 Retina resolution support will be added and will look like this: And of course, long awaited, iPad support, as Neuroshima Hex will change into universal application: Neuroshima Hex is available as an iPhone application for 2.99$ or as a free Neuroshima Hex Lite. When version 1.20 hits the App Store the price will change to 4,99$, so you may consider getting in now to save few bucks. More info on www.neuroshimahex.com
Thanks for going the universal route, I know back in the day you folk were planning to make these independent.
And what about asynchronous multiplayer like Samurai has? I'm waiting for that before I commit. That would really make this game shine.
We will give you a more detailed plan of the next release when this one (1.20) will be available on the App Store.
Ho, ho, ho! Christmas is coming so here's a small gift from Big Daddy's Santa - Neuroshima Hex is for only 0,99$ until 24th December. Go and get it here: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/neuroshima-hex/id391297152?mt=8 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Hmmmmm. Maybe i should consider picking this up then! i downloaded the lite version and have actually played it a couple times. Its really fun and i can see that you guys have put a good amount of effort into this game. I suggest adding new armies for IAP. I bet people would buy them (i know i would)
I got the lite version, and it's fun. I'm tempted to get the full, but I don't know if I see the benefit. Other than playing as one of the other three armies (and multiplayer, which I probably wouldn't do), what's the difference between the full and lite? Are there other board layouts? A campaign? Unlockable units? Any kind of incentive to get me to play beyond the main gameplay that the lite version already has?
Well, the coolest thing in Neuroshima Hex is that every army plays differently Borgo is really the simplest and in my opinion The Outpost (available in full version) is the most interesting one. Also we plan to add new armies as in-app purchases to the full version and these new armies are really different from the basic ones.
