    Hehe, that reindeer's expression looks goofy as hell :)

    I forgot to ask earlier, but is the d-pad optional? Is the slider still usable?

    Have you considered the names that were posted, or do you feel pretty good about Super 8-Bit Santa?

    Slider was ditched.

    Unfortunately mostly just because of time.

    Since the reindeer already has separate control functions we just don't have time to program switching for everything.

    When you factor in that the retina version, iPad version, and regular version all have separate control schemes adding double the variables easily turns into hundreds of lines of code. It's not a huge amount of time but easily a week if done right.

    Given the time constraints we just decided to try make one as best as possible.

    There is a lot of ghost area on the dpad so big fingers don't have to be super precise.

    For gameplay, all testing is being done in house.
    There are quite a few hands on deck though.

    I like it! Though I'm not sure how it'll look on my tiny iPod's screen, compared to the icon I voted for a few days ago. But I guess I'll find out soon! :)

    It seems to come across on the ipod screen.
    The characters are just a wee bit larger for the ipod version of the icon.

    The one pictured is the store / ipad / retina version

    Today's the last day to submit your game with assurance that it will be approved before the App Store closes. Is this close to submission? Today? Tomorrow? If not, it probably won't be out by Christmas. :(

    Santa looks great!!! Everytime I see him I see those red and white mushrooms that... hmm... reindeer... eat. =oP


    Can't believe all the platformers that are coming out, I never thought my iPod would get more gameplay time than my GameBoy did when I was younger...

    Looking at submission this weekend.

    Once everything was finished it started to really run laggy on ipod 2nd gen (the first one with an external speaker)
    We didn't wanna release it running like crap on what is still a very popular ipod.

    Apple isn't closing until the 23rd and thats a couple weeks out still.

    I guess we'll see. The Apple works in mysterious ways lol.

    We are bummed about the delays though.
    It would suck to see so many 12 hour days in a tiny office go down the tube.
