Thanks for the code Peter, I really appreciat it - Here are my thoughts after a few runs with the game... Neon Blast could very well turn out to be my blast from the past! I’m one of the ‘old’ dudes that threw all the coins I could swindle out of my granny after which ever arcade machine I could lay my eyes on. And Neon Blast is by far a good example of a game that pays homage, to that old school type of games in the nicest way possible. Neon colors seems perfect for this game, and the side scroller handles nicely. The shuttle feels a bit sluggish in the beginning, but you quickly get the hang of it. Everything is pretty straight forward after that, one button to throw bombs and one to handle your forward machinegun. And trust me, you soon adapt a blast as goddamn fast as humanly possible to stay alive - You can of course pick of extra life, shield, upgrade you guns and so on. And the course will get harder and harder to maneuver, and you will soon have you hands full with stuff other than just blasting your way through Music turns out to be an ambient, dreamy sort’a electro glide something or other. – Which really fit the game completely. As one would expect with a game of this complete, online leaderboard is a given. Here OpenFeint handles the show with all the bells and whistles one would expect… I really like this game, It’s got the perfect mix of homage, yet graphical in a style of it’s own. Difficulty seems perfect for anyone to pick it up and get right into the action with hardly any learning curve required… Highly recommended!
i have to say, this app really is pretty cool. i dunno about blast from the past as im only 13, but i can say the graphics fit this song perfectly and the controls are right on.
Wow im pretty bad at this game, I cant get past level 2 =\ I think IM doing something wrong, and i cant find a help section/instructions in the game. I really think u guys should add those.
