I played it again yesterday with more or less the same strategy and won with just 2-3 shields remaining. Here’s a screenshot. The bright glow is the boss very near my base. In this game I could have gone with fewer missiles and more cannons for better results, but missiles are still very important in my experience.

Thank you! That was literally my exact build for the lower half, square for square. I guess I'll try again...

Hah! Got it, with five shields left. Thank you so much for the help. Two tricks that also helped.

The build trick was to build the 10 missiles at the bottom first, then the bottom row of cannons at the top like you said. Then I laid out the rest of the outline of cannons and Vulcans at the bottom. Once I was done with that, I filled in a row of eight missiles in the second-to-bottom row in the top section. I think that was the key, to make sure I had a row of missiles in the top in range of all the damn blue stars. Once those were done I filled in missiles in the remaining spaces in the bottom section.

However, I think even more important was that as soon as the Boss wave appeared, I called every wave early, as soon as I could. The last few waves give you lots of money, and that extra time was really important to upgrade missiles earlier than I would have been able to had the waves appeared when they would have normally. My boss was still on the left side of the bottom area when I destroyed him.

Congrats! Good idea calling in the waves early. I’ve done that on other levels, but hadn’t tried it on this one!

I've got a similar build with more missiles and only one row of canons. The missiles tend to be bit random, I'll try more canons.

I think the cannons at the whole perimeter of the lower area and the bottom row of the top area are critical to clearing out the stars that the boss spawns.

Anyone help or offer any advice on this please? I'm still struggling. I can get to the last wave easily but then it all gets a bit mental.

Sure. Start by building two cannons and two Valcans in the bonus zone. Then build about 8 to 10 cannons in the long vertical strip between the last two long spaces that the bad guys going to. Before the last handful of waves, filled two lasers right on top of the last Space, pointing downwards next to the bonus zone. Those last two lasers are critical to clearing out those last few waves. Please note that my method does not kill all of the purple blocks on that one wave.

Nice one thank you. It's amazing how close you can get to a particular build and not get it right. I tried a few combinations that were almost identical to yours but just could not crack it. Oh, and none of the methods I used killed all the purple blocks.....

For some reason it's not letting me attach my screenshot. The first stage is to put in a lot of lasers. I put in 11 lasers at first, strategically located to go along with the longest stretches with the creeps going away from. That includes doubling up in a few places so that I have two lasers going down the path, even though that means one of the labors is crossing Another path. Once that's done, I literally fill every single square in the bottom half with cannons. That gets me to the boss. After all of the canons are put in, that it's literally just missiles from there on out. Build as many as you can as fast as you can. Sell towers that are no longer necessary, and call every single wave as early as you can once the boss appears in order to give yourself as much time with the boss as possible.

Sixteen cannons fully upgraded, starting with four and building more as you can. Just build them as close to the base as you can. You'll finish with no lives lost.

    The Automatic Upgrade feature.

    Dear neoDefense gamers,

There will be added new feature that makes tower upgrading automatically in coming release version 1.0.7.

I've played with this feature, it makes strategical change in gameplay. Hope this make more fun. :)

P.S. Also there will be added new bonus missions in Alpha and Beta section. Be prepared to beat. :D

    Best Regards,

It's very reasonably priced game for the amount of gameplay it gives, I'd say even cheap. Also all additional levels need to be developed on top of current content you paid for.

Plus no adverts, no diamonds, no timers, no online... Clean off all the other freemium bs games bring.

They're well worth it and to be fair it does state in the description that you've got to pay for them.

I'm stuck on the gamma boss level still though....!

I really suck at this. But maybe the auto upgrade will help.

What frustrates me is that I am madly placing towers and upgrading as fast as possible and I never get to enjoy just watching the mayhem.

I bought the game for two reasons, one is that I haven't played a tower defense in a while, but the main one was that I'm a sucker for these types of graphics.

Any chance of adding in an "I suck so make it easy" setting so I can enjoy watching all the action for a while?

    Stilll happy with my purchase.
