NeoDefender is a lot of fun, and easy to pick up and play. I played it on the iPad, and the graphics are simple but look good even scaled up. The boss fights are especially hectic! I enjoy slicing through multiple enemies with the laser. I think it's a little too easy. I played for over 45 minutes and never even came close to dying (although the fact I played it for so long tells you it is fun!). Maybe the difficulty could be ramped up a bit, or I wouldn't mind fighting two bosses at once... meyumedev Well-Known Member Aug 19, 2009 298 0 0 #12 meyumedev, Jun 7, 2010 Thanks for playing and the review - can you leave a copy on iTunes please if you haven't already done so. Have to say you did pretty well! The new version has more backgrounds, planets, rocks etc but we haven't made it any more difficult. Were you firing with one or two fingers at the same time? Cheers Scott GordonFreeman Well-Known Member Jan 28, 2010 661 0 0 #13 GordonFreeman, Jun 7, 2010 Thank you for the code. Neodefenders is like a central tower defense where you have to destroy that are coming to the center where you are shooting at them. You control 2 shots that can be spotted on one enemy for faster attack or divide them in two to attack to enemies at the same time. You control it by touching where you want to attack.the game is pretty fun. I like that you can upgrade weapons and defense in between enemy waves. meyumedev Well-Known Member Aug 19, 2009 298 0 0 #14 meyumedev, Jun 7, 2010 Thanks for playing and the review - can you leave a copy on iTunes please if you haven't already done so. I found that if I used the 'one finger' approach and powered my laser up between every level, it melted through enemies like butter. The only time I felt in danger was when the bosses were closing in, and I would use a nuke. I am at wave 43, with a score of 119645, full health and my laser power is 27-- I'm looking forward to continuing it later. meyumedev Well-Known Member Aug 19, 2009 298 0 0 #16 meyumedev, Jun 7, 2010 That's a pretty good score - i'll send this over to the dev as he gets some massive scores as well. I'd be interested in any ideas on how we could improve it? Samuraipeter Well-Known Member May 30, 2010 162 1 0 #17 Samuraipeter, Jun 7, 2010 I think it would be more challenging if the nuke only destroyed a certain radius around your base, and you could extend that by powering it up between levels like the other weapons, or if you armed it and tapped where you wanted to fire it and it wouldn't clear the whole screen; that way it isn't too powerful right away. Maybe having the money accrue more slowly, or having the bigest rocks shoot at you until you break them up. Even just having a harder difficulty that starts at the level of around 40, that was where the rocks became fast enough that they were a challenge. I look forward to more weapons also, maybe a ricochet gun or rockets? What if two finger mode could shoot two different weapons? Okay, sorry, I'll stop now. Great game, and keep up the good work!! meyumedev Well-Known Member Aug 19, 2009 298 0 0 #18 meyumedev, Jun 7, 2010 Thanks, some excellent suggestions there which will certainly consider. I like the idea of each finger shooting a different weapon - neat! uppz Well-Known Member Jun 3, 2010 147 0 0 #19 uppz, Jun 7, 2010 Very nice graphics! Like the neon colors . Improvements IMHO: add more explosion effects, different types of guns upgrades. Add movement to ship by tilt control? Increase the pace a bit once the ship can move about. meyumedev Well-Known Member Aug 19, 2009 298 0 0 #20 meyumedev, Jun 7, 2010 Thanks for playing, would you mind leaving a review on the app store please. Thanks for the suggestions - movement is something we are currently looking at. What sort of guns would you like to see? (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
