We recently got the new Apple TV for the purpose of playing games together with my family. I am looking for games that are made to be played by at least 2 people at a time. Also, anything that is really simple to play/control that my Mom who never has played a video game can play would be a plus. Any suggestions?
Have a go of Fish! It's up to 4 players fishing, which you can do casually (just click the A button on a game controller to join in) or in the competitions. You can even try and complete the quest together One of our other games, SlotZ Racer 2 is also up to 4 player and it's single button control so pretty simple to play. It's a racing game, so a bit more zippy, but you can switch the difficulty into Kids mode to make it a bit easier for everyone.
1. Crossy Road 2. Beats sport 3. Game Night - A Party Game for Friends and Family 4. Octodad: Deadliest Catch 5. Bowling With Friends 6. SweetLand Family Board Game 7. LUDO, family board game 8. Sparkle 2 9. Tap Tap Party - the new multiplayer local game for your TV
1) SongPopParty - Astonished this isn't on the list yet. We had nearly 3 hours of fun playing in 5: 1 remote, 1 controller and 3 iOS devices 2) TINP - A simple multiplayer arcade for 2 players (disclaimer: This is my own app)
Happy House TV You can try our App Happy House TV (0.99USD) its basically a memory game on TV, where any number of members at home can help to come up with the final answer! so your mom does not even need to use the controller. Search "Happy House"
Check out Emoji Party, it takes the best of charades and emojis and brings them together for fun times with family and friends Search 'Emoji Party' on the Apple TV App Store! It's on iPhone too: https://itunes.apple.com/en/app/emoji-party-ultimate-party/id1017988855?mt=8 Full disclosure - I made Emoji Party. Would love to hear what you think
any of these apps you guys recommended support game center leaderboard / achievements / iCloud / phone app as controller ?
Bicker Games A bit late to reply but I'll suggest our latest app, Bicker Games. Local multiplayer using iOS devices over wifi. Not sure how your mom will go but our 4 year old has a good laugh playing it.
Mid Feb, when Happy Tennis is live on the app store, you will be able to use iPhone/ipods to use as additional rackets for 2v2 multiplayer fun! I'll update this post again!
