I did something with my iPod classic and now it won't let me sync with iTunes or it will erase all the data on my iPod. I think I checked the box to "Manually Manage my Music" or something similar and now when I plug it in and sync it, nothing happens. I need to be able to sync my iPod but I don't have all the music on it backed up on my computer. I have about 20 gigs of music on my iPod (90% of which is not on my computer) and my computer only has about 6 gigs of free drive space. I needed to back up my music, so that I could wipe it with iTunes, allow it to sync again, and still be able to recover the rest of my music not on the computer.. So I transferred ALL my music to my PS3 and at first I thought, problem solved. The problem is, I can't figure out how to manage any of the music on the PS3. I can't find any automated way to put the music into a folder or anything. In the Music section, it just lists the 5,000 or so songs, one by one... putting them in playlists looks to be a manual process... and I don't understand how I can just simply dump all the music back on to my iPod after I re-sync/wipe it with iTunes. I haven't done anything to my iPod yet because I'm worried I'll have to manually add the 5,000 songs back on. Here are my questions: 1. Is there any way to take those songs, listed one by one, and dump them all back to my iPod after I reformat it? 2. If the answer to question 1 is no, then is there a better way I can import the music to PS3 that would allow me to easily export it again, after the iPod is wiped? 3. If I do have to re-import the music in a more organized way, is there a way to erase all of the music listed one by one, so that I don't have dupes of everything? Many thanks in advance for any help!
