Alright a friend of mine is struggling with ideas for her last project at school. She's studying Journalism and Photography and the project title is "The Future". She has to do a text for the journalism part and then combine it with photos for the photography part. The only idea I had was to get photos of old stuff, buildings/bridges/machinery/clothing and then their new equivalents and write about where that kind of stuff might be headed in the future, but apparently there's no old stuff in her town (great). Anyone have some input?
Do it on the increasing stupidity of the world, and how it will end up with people only taking courses like "photography and journalism" and the lack of jobs causes a collapse
The future, the future... I think this is more of an essay/report than comparison. I'd research the topic since you can have many beliefs on what will happen in the future. My advice as a relatively good english student is to write what she thinks of the subject, not comparing or listing old things. Maybe a segment on the past, present, and the rest on her personal interpretation of the future. Then again, it's such an open topic...you can probably get away with most things. For the photography part, I'd just say: look out for anything that looks "futuristic." A website, concept, car, gadget...always have a camera handy. I hope this will help, it's such a confusing topic...
