I got my iPod Touch 4 out and'll see if the game works on it (It allows me to download it at least). If it works I'll be very disappointed in developers still supporting single core devices (with less than one GHz) with a quarter of a gig of ram. It was time to let them go a long time ago.
Just deleted it, mainly because I don't have a clue what I'm doing due to the language barrier. The upgrade system looks like it's based on earned in game money plus "cards" earned in races which have certain upgrades on them. When I finished the second race I had to tap on what looked like a NFS trading card which spun round and revealed a top speed upgrade which I then had to apply in the garage. Other times the trading card spun round to reveal 500 worth of in game currency.
If the game actually runs on my iPod I'll see if I can get any further than that. Whatever language that was in those screenshots seemed to be at least somewhat similar to german... I'll record a video of it as well if it works.

I finished the first "gang", comprised of four races and a boss race. Thing is, all the races thus far have been against one single opponent. Hopefully the further you go into the game the more you race multiple cars. Compared to Asphalt 8 this game is technically flawed. Asphalt looked great before Metal but the Metal update made it look even more stunning in places. This looks like a game from pre 2012. Other than the very nice street lighting effects it's a low resolution piece of IAP laden crud.
Well the game alwas crashes on the loading screen for the first race. My guess is that Apple's desicion to put 256 rather than 512 mb of ram into the iPod Touch 4 is once again to blame.
I just put Most Wanted back on my iPad Air ... it looks SO much better than this crap. Higher resolution, more detailed backgrounds, sharper car models, etc.
It's not even that. The races are short, and there is no police chasing you while you race. It require internet connection. I can't wait for that game to get on they us App Store. To give it a deserved review. MaaaaaaAAAAAAAHAAA!
Police chase you I the first race after the initial cut scene, after that you're right. I didn't see them again. They probably reappear later in the game as you take on tougher gangs but who knows. For me it's annoying that the game looks worse than Most Wanted because we're two years on from Most Wanted and the hardware inside our iPads and iPhones has more than doubled since the days when Most Wanted launched. I first played Most Wanted when it launched and it was when I had an iPad 3. As I said this goes back to what I have debates with people over when they talk about upgrading from iPad Air to iPad Air 2. I have upgraded my iPads annually for the last three years but I'm calling a halt on it this year because I've come to learn that no iOS device nowadays gets used by developers to its full potential within the year it's the top model. Developers target the money, especially guys like EA. They will make sure that as far back as possible is supported which in turn stifles development on newer devices. With many developers having this same mindset we're nowhere near seeing what even the iPad Air is fully capable of, never mind scratch the surface of the Air 2. In fact if I'm being brutally honest I wouldn't be surprised if the A6X inside the iPad 4 hasn't seen its full potential yet.
Yup this game aint for me. Theyre clearly targeting the casual CSR racing people who want bit sized gameplay with timers. Was expecting something along the lines of Asphalt 8 or RR3 or even something new, not this crap. Deleted
Yeah the races start with a CSR type gauge where you need to get "Perfect Start" by keeping the needle at a certain rev point.
I wonder if this game will roll out at midnight today in local territories or is it just a soft launch? Just thinking that it's 02:19am in Taiwan right now, and we downloaded the game little over 2 hours ago when it was midnight in Taiwan.
