To be fair that would be sweet. It's Ironmonkeys for the iOS and Criterion for the ps and vita. I got confused as to which version you meant. For any of them it would be a nice surprise.
Sure! Rip Ironmonkeys - IOS Criterion - Vita I'm talking about both... Sport cars are cooooool but imagine a Super car game... I guess is a whole new vibe! And a secret car at the end is the must! So... Ironmonkeys and Criterion (keep this info) Zenvo ST1 SSC Tuatara
NO TOUCH CONTROL, NO BUY NO TOUCH CONTROL, NO BUY NO TOUCH CONTROL, NO BUY Developers... Work harder! Ok?
I guess I'm the only one who doesn't mind tilt controls... I'm fine with either. Of course I'd prefer touch.
Developers work harder??? Excuse me? You just have no clue what you're saying. We've already gone over the whole tilt thing, I don't like it either but for god's sake stop whining about it.
This one is quite amusing. New member. Their one and only post. I wonder?!? Is that supposed to blindside us? I suppose this particular person will now continue where another (?) left off and post every day now until launch, basically spam posting the same thing. I can't quite figure out if quoting oneself is egotistical or naive. I wish I had nicer things to say but the issue has been brought up. Repeatedly. Everybody reasonable on the thread understands that point. The developer has already seen the previous posts and taken notice. Whether this leads to implementing tap controls or not we will have to wait and see. It's up to the developer whether they do or not. And I'm sure they have logical and cogent reasons as to whatever control method they employ. Telling a developer to work harder, especially Firemonkeys, is really quite ridiculous. They are working their asses off to make RR3 and NFS the best games possible. Using all caps and large font implies your screaming at the top of your voice. Well let me say we heard you. Point made. Please consider behaving in some kind of mature and considered way the next time. Do not insult developers (by implying they are not working hard enough) on this forum because we as members are very lucky to have them contribute and communicate directly with us through this medium and we don't need spoilt children ruining it for the rest of us.
The only game I prefer tilt over touch is real racing 2. The nfs series on iOS require too much precision to work well with touch. For me at least.
I think you have a point there. NFS frequently requires you to jam your car into another racer or a cop car and tap possible has a bit more of an effect there. I did try tap controls recently in RR2 on iPad and iPhone and I couldn't quite quite get them right. Tilt seemed smoother for bends and overtaking. Tap sorta gave a pretty sudden oversteer or sudden jerking left or right to the car. That is probably just me being used to tilt control since NFS Undercover and the original Shift on the iPhone. I can see how that would be effective when you're trying to jam another car into a wall though. In saying that though, I do still prefer tilt for driving games because it sorta gives a steering wheel type of impression which I quite like. (sorry Jbruu, more blasphemy. A religion related prayer of some kind might be appropriate at this stage)
AHAMMM! And... Who are you, Sir! The Moderator ??????? OH! Give me a break! OH! Mr Rip73... DO NOT CRY! I'm not a spammer. I'm a guy with opinion! LET ME FIX... Developers... Try to make a good job, OK? There's a game called Real Racing 2... Play it a little bit...and learn! PS: TILT AND TOUCH
Ahem... We're already quite familiar with Real Racing 2, thanks... Hey guys, Sam here from Firemonkeys (need my TA forum name updated!). As some of you know, we're the developers behind Need for Speed Most Wanted and Real Racing. Just thought I'd drop by and mention that early demo builds of our games don't include all features available in the final launch build and generally aren't truly representative of the final version. This may seem obvious to some, but please don't take it out on others when they assume otherwise. Thanks for all of your feedback
Thanks for that bit of info Sam. You have to admit though that telling the developer of NFS MW to go and play RR2 and learn something from it is very funny. I did nearly fall over (the good kind involving laughter) when I read that one. I at least would have thought that most people know what Firemonkeys have achieved in their previous incarnations as Iron Monkeys and Firemint. Back on track though. Any new screenshots or little bits of info on how the game is coming along? I know you probably can't tell us much but I have to ask.
Your timing and posting was perfect! Really made me chuckle. Really looking forward to RR3 now. Just wondering if the awesome 'rear view mirror' and 'real time reflection on cars' is just for the new A6 chip in iPhone 5, or will new iPad handle that well, too?
