So I was looking at that trailer and thinking "oh, so that's how it's going to look like on consoles, huh? I'm kind of unimpressed, but still, that's really-" COMING SOON TO iOS AND ANDROID DEVICES "What."
Not too long to wait for this either. Should be out in roughly two weeks going by when the console one is out. Hopefully we'll see some more gameplay vids this week or next. I'm quite keen to get hands on it because, for some reason, I'd really like to jam a Porsche into a cop car. Gonna have to see a mental health professional about that one I think.
Yeah, i've been pumped for the console version even though I rarely play console, I loved the original. Completely forget the was a iOS version. Gotta start browsing those non-subscribed threads more often...
Yeah, it does real good. Love the damage element. Bumpers, mirrors falling off are very good but a stand out feature for me is the big scratches and extensive damage to the side of the cars. That look like a big deal for iOS to me.
The only thing I want that isn't confirmed are decent physics. Asphalt has pretty awful physics, hoping for some more realistic ones with NFS.
According to Firemonkeys, a lot of work has gone into the physics. Obviously they won't be 100% real as it is arcade racer so an element of exaggeration and dramatics is kinda necessary. But in saying that, what I'm hearing seems to indicate a pretty dramatic shift towards high end realistic physics. I'm hopeful of more details on this (and touch control details for those that wanted it) surfacing pretty soon. And considering the teams that are working and consulting on it, and the experience they have with racing games, its hard to imagine this will do anything but blow every other racer right out of the water. And yeah, I know, I'm a bit super hyped for it. Can't help it. It is one of the top four forthcoming games I must have. (RR3, this, MC4, Forgotten Memories, in no particular order)
何クールな驚き こんにちは友人 私は、これらの3つの新たなスクリーンショット(iPhoneの> IOS)を掲示している。 私はここで皆とそれを再生するのを待つことができない、私は推測する。 それをお楽しみください。
Sorry Sorry Sorry (Translation) What a cool surprise! Hi friends! I'm posting these three new screenshots (iPhone > iOS). I can't wait to play it as everybody here, i guess. Enjoy it.
Did you know, were making a Need for Speed Most Wanted for your phone? Our friends down in Melbourne, Australia have been grafting it on a game for Apple and Android phones and tablets thatll cherry-pick the best moments from Most Wanted and crowbar them onto everybodys favourite touch and tilt devices. That means tilt control, instant action, all your favorite cars, great online play and amazing connected features.
Oh, and absolutely mind-blowing graphics. I can’t believe we’re looking at screenshots here from a device that fits in your pocket. The guys from Firemonkeys are on the job, and these guys aren’t screwing around. The studio includes teams that already nailed driving with the Real Racing series and knocked it out of the park with their spectacular phone version of Hot Pursuit. We’re excited, and you should be too. And we know they love Need for Speed, because this is their office: The only issue? Grinning like a nutcase after sticking it to the cops or your friends on the bus to work.
Those screenshots do look real good. I especially like the mclaren with a cracked windscreen. A very nice touch in relation to in game damage.
Yeah man, loving the damage. In most NFS games, even on consoles/PC, you can smash you car into a wall, get sideswiped by a Lamborghini, and spin out of control off a cliff and when you respawn back on the road.. You realize there's nothing but a slightly cracked window, if that. Huge NFS fan, i have almost ever NFS game ever made, but I've been playin more of the Dirt series, Grid and some other games and I realized recently just how important that damage is to a good racer. It adds realizem, therefore making the game better by a lot
I remember when RR2 came out first and bumper and mirror damage was a big deal and actually was very good in game. Of course, that was almost two years ago and revolutionary for the platform at the time. Still impressive now. Shift and Shift 2 had the broken windscreen thing going on at the time they launched as well, which I very much liked as well because it looked impressive when you were using the in car camera view. It looks like the next stage of both those effects and more, has gone into this game from what I've seen so far. So it should be very impressive.
