Yeah, you are lucky to have both, and yeah, you are right, the cabling is a little awkward for sure. I kind of would like both, I chose hdmi cause I game the most on my ipad and hdmi is the way to go for bandwith reasons over apple tv.

I too like you, wish for wireless joysticks so my ipad would play like a console. While some games like Beat Hazard, Asphalts and RR, look great on airplay mode; and 3d kinda looking games like dariusburst and alpha zero look wonderful with tv mirroring.

Even iphone only games look wonderful on tv. I was really impressed. Deathsmiles and danmuku unlimited look and play great. I am happy cause I couldn't stand to play iphone only games on my retina ipad in 2x mode, but on my tv the look great.

Joypad games are fun too, then I can get an wireless experience like an apple tv. Pretty cool to play games like infinity field, mikey shorts, silverfish and others wireless with my iphone. But I agree with you, a wireless joystick would be a game changer to making the ipad a console.

But nowadays, hdmi is all I got, and lately, I have been playing on my tv 80% of the time. Generally prefer the big screen experience over ipad retina, which really surprised me. I am impressed by games like dariusburst, alpha zero, and crumble zone on the tv. 3d effects look so much more impressive on a big screen. Wowzers, such an awesome experience.

  3. Sure, 1.8 gb.

It runs at 2GB, so it's ridiculously huge! Amazing game, but you may have to dump other stuff. Dropping Avengers Initiative equaled out for me.

You've got the top times in every race that I've checked, and by several seconds over 2nd place. How do you do that? Even with a perfect race, I can't even come close sometimes. Is there some jailbreak/hack that I'm not aware of? Or do you have some secret combination of car+mods that I can't find? ;)

To the best of my knowledge, there isn't any multiplayer option coming to this.
Of course this might change but as of right now, competing times on origin is the only multiplayer type of option.

Lack of multiplayer, even a local Bluetooth type, is such wasted opportunity.

I think a more feasible update would be a "create your own race" type mode where you choose the AI level, track and game mode. That would be a lot of fun.

This could be because of the "tru motion (or something similar depending on the brand)" setting of recent LED TVs, with a refresh rate of 120 HZ or above. Basically they add fake frames to make it seem smother. This is why sometimes some movies may look like soap operas, especially in scenes with a lot of panning or fast motion. Try disable it and it should be exactly the same as on the iPad.

It is really a wasted opportunity. The MP in NFS hot pursuit was really fun...

They need to go all out though and add some MP that isn't local...

The secret, if it's really even a secret, is that you just need to find which corners you drift around and which ones you just take a clean line. I find that when I focus on keeping up my speed as high as possible I can shave seconds off my time. Drifting (as backwards as it may seem) actually helps you exit a turn faster than you enter it if you have a clean exit from the drift. I also ALWAYS use the Nitrous Burn and Power Pack Mods for fastest times.

As for the Most Wanted races, the faster times are due to knocking out the Most Wanted racer. The faster you can bash them to pieces the faster you win the race. Use the Reinforced Chassis Mod to increase your bashing power and focus on hitting in the middle of the car at high speeds.

What I would like to know is how user jenei_roland643 has such fast times or high speeds and beating me by a significant margin in 3 events? Everything else I've got down pretty good but these are significantly better times/speeds in lesser cars. Seems fishy to me unless I need to think outside the box and do something different.

Add me on Origin for a competitive Speedwall: adamdbuhler

See you at the top of your Speedwall :)

By 'competitive speedwall', do you mean using the Veyron in all the open events and 'the fastest car' (tm) for all other events?

As I don't have access to the Veyron I'm a little worried at having my ego crushed. :)

Otherwise, feel free to add BigJP for probably a less competitive speedwall. :)

Anyone know which was the first car before the NFS Edition Hummer?

I have gone through and cleaned up my friends on Origin. I have kept anyone who made it to the top 10 of my Speedwall in any event.

Please add me! I love seeing how competitive your times are. Even if you don't have the Veyron, you can certainly still make it on the Speedwall in other events. Only half of my friends have the Veyron so the other half are still quite competitive in other events

    Origin ID: adamdbuhler

See you at the top of your Speedwall :)

Haven't managed it myself but the advice from earlier in the thread seems to use the top nitrous and power mod. Or else the nitrous with the racing tyres for handling mod.
And drift as much as possible but to prepare racing line for the drift and end the drift after the corner.
Plus wait for nitro to fill fully before using it, don't use small bursts of it.
That's about most of the advice from the thread. It should help you get down some bit anyway but that is one tough event.
Oh and the shortcut with the jump near the end, save nitro for when you land to stabilise the car so it doesn't bounce into a wall when you land.
