Maybe I phrased that poorly, but didn't mean to imply Firemint bought Iron Monkey. But at one time Iron Monkey was an independent studio, then EA snatched them up. Then later on, EA bought Firemint. Then later still, EA mashed the two together to form Firemonkeys. I know you know this, just clarifying But yeah, last I talked to Rob from Firemint he told me that being merged with Iron Monkey and working in the same building together was awesome, as the two studios could now share a lot of info with each other, BUT he also said they were constantly trying to outdo each other too, which probably was great for Most Wanted and will be great for Real Racing 3. My initial point though was that you can't really compare Most Wanted to Firemint's previous games and what they did with them, because Most Wanted technically isn't even a Firemint game.
I haven't heard of any lag or framerate problems on 4g. Effects and polygons are reduced for earlier devices in order for it to run smooth, which I'm told it does very well. In answer to should you get it, it's the best arcade racer on iOS, so yeah, definitely get it.
Thanks for pointing that out Jared. So things are looking good for RR3 gamemode-wise. But anyway, does nobody think it's a big (and inconvenient, too) oversight to leave out a quickplay mode in an Arcade racer that scales the competition to your car? Or am I just spoiled by decades of videogaming?
Anyone got any screenshots or video of this running on the iPhone 4? I just wanna see how different or worse it looks on the iPhone 4 when compared to newer devices before I make a purchase.
Yeah i upgraded from a touch 4, they are slowly getting fazed out. I posted some better screen shots back on page 53, check them out.
Fastest way is iap but you can replay races and build your money up, the deeper you get into it, the more money you get from races. Takes a while but it can be done.
U can replay the race as long as u want to grind money. Save your money 150k to buy carerra s its the best car for the game. To make it faster use top speed and nitro burst perk.
I know. I meant that I noticed the relationship when comparing NFS:MW with NFS:HP. Anyway, MW is a fantastic game and the physics are much better than what my first feelings told me. I've been able to "realistcly" crash the Lamborghini LP when I took the shortcut and accidentally had the left side wheels go on top the rails. What a crash!!!!
I really wish you guys would quit supporting games like this! Premium price tag, and In App Purchases. It's one thing for a free game to have it but this is bologna! If you continue to buy them it will get worse and worse.
Can't help it, it's a great game. And at this stage, deciding to not support premium price point games with in app purchases is pointless, in app purchases are the App Store model now. And will continue to be. It would also leave us with very few games to buy. If any at all in the future. Of the vast number of games I've got in the last year, the majority premium, none freemium (at the time of purchase), I can't find one without in app purchases. If I go by your idea, I'd have bought nothing at all. Avoiding premium ones with a pay wall (ie, cannot progress further without paying up) is what can be done but you'll find very, very, very, very few games with no iap. There's no pay wall in this by the way.
