I'm so worried about this game. Everbody seems to be happy with it, but I'm not able to play it. Simply can't control it.Holding and turning around the ipad for more than 30 minutes makes my arms hurt. And trying to control with this strange "touch control" is not possible. Is anybody here who is satisfied with this touch control option?
My god, you must've the weakest limbs around! I think you barely have to turn much in the first place. Even then, the sensitivity is very high so the degree of tilting the ipad is very small. You might just be a troll.
Destructiod have posted an iOS review. Here is an extract: "Sadly, a lot of content is hidden behind a paywall, which forces you to grind through races you may not enjoy just to procure the in-game funds to continue -- of course, not before the game presents the lovely option for in-app purchasing." Like I said.
Hi, is there any option to enhance graphics on iPhone 4? I'm talking about enhance draw distance or turn on blur?
Some people can't see past the flashy graphics unfortunately. Good game that made a very dumb move. I wish Game Designers still designed games, or at least used their smarts and designed IAP as extra and additional content, not take the brain dead route of pay or grind IAP, at that point they probably should be looking at doing a more fulfilling job.
I am using iPod touch 5th. Is there anyone else here also feel that the game doesn't run smoothly (I think it's not even 30fps) on the 5th iPod? I watched gameplay vids in youtube from various people, and it looks smooth though... It's still somewhat playable, although the enjoyment is not at the maximum level I expected.
What is pay wall supposed to mean anyway? Does it mean - ok try race once, race second time and only win on the third time of asking? If you expect to steam roll through a game winning every round/level first time round, then my friend you got the concept of gaming all wrong. Paywall is something like - ok I try a million times but I can't win unless I dabble in IAPs. This is not at all the case here, and I feel sorry for those who feel this way. Look at my sig - I am all out against IAPs, but here its not too bad. Of course, all games are best off w/o IAPs though. To complete the game, NO IAPS are necessary. You ONLY need them if you want the best 3/4 cars and don't want to grind your way through. Using mods is not reflective of IAPs, at least based on my thinking. Some races are impossible to get gold w/o mods, but to win the game mods aren't even needed. Just to get gold, yes. Anyway, I hope IAPs will die already. They are making the experience of gaming much cheaper. Ruining everything good about gaming. Now, even IF a game really is balanced to not need IAPs, one will always think otherwise and wonder how things might be different w/o IAPs. Therefore, I don't play free games unless they are highly recommended, and 80% of all my purchases are fully premium games.
I'm sure destructiod would be happy to know that they don't know what a pay wall is. Why don't you email them. I don't see your sig in the TA app, but if you say you hate IAPs then I'm at a loss as to why you are defending this game. It's very simple: to progress you have to pay or grind. There's really no room for misinterpretation here. Pay or grind. Those are the choices.
its a good game except for 2 VERY serious problems. 1. its a racer not every single cop car should as quick as you or whats the point in upgrading??? and its not realistic not cop car is as fast as some alot of the models on here. and why the #### like hey EVERY EVERY single race they appear right like 2 secs before the finish line annoying the crap outta you. that aside the game controls well and it looks...awesome...but if EA want to bend the rules THAT hard with the realism then i might as well just enjoy asphalt 7. graphics , races , qauntity of materials to use great. gameplay NOT so much....
I'm defending the game because I completed it in 4 odd hours w/o IAPs. And I never grinded one bit! (I give this a 4.5/5 and same with Lili which had IAPs but weren't necessary!). Just tell me which part you're stuck at. I'll go and play it back and see if it is really that hard that it deserves to be called a PAYWALL.
Each race requires a certain type of car. If you dont have that type of car, you cant race. You're saying you never had to replay races for cash in order to buy the cars that are required to enter new events?
I'm saying I always had cash in hand to get the necessary car. I think I only bought one everyday, one SUV and one exotic car throughout the whole game. 2 each for the rest. Maybe on one or two occasions I decided to replay races once or twice to get the next best car, but c'mon, you're not gonna call that a paywall or grinding right? But for the first car in each category, I always had cash in hand. Update: I completed the game with 1 SUV, 2 EVeryday, muscle, Exotic & GT, 3 sports.
Yes there is no point in the game where you are cash strapped (unless you went on a car buying spree) and most events aren't impossible except the hot ride ones where they give you a car to use anyway. Probably will not be able to get all gold without powerups, since the aforementioned hot ride events are really strict on timing, even with them it is hard to gold. There's little need to grind as far as I've seen- there are many races so far and you can just progress through them to earn money. Besides, of you're retrying the event to get gold you're getting cash rewards for the silver/bronze medals anyways. There's no quintessential EA or Gameloft pay wall crap here.
A pay wall is a pay WALL. If it doesn't stop you from playing, or severely limits you, it's more like a pay hill. Can we drop the IAP discussion though, please? There are IAP talks going on in FOUR threads now and it's getting out of hand. Edit: Make that five threads. (maybe I should move them all into the Grassroots thread and enjoy the mess)
Once or twice is admittedly not a lot of grinding, not a lot at all, but it is grinding, and when the game presented me with the choice to pay or grind (after I'd already paid a "premium" price for it) I deleted it in disgust. The poor frame rate, ugly graphics (on my device) and dull gameplay obviously factored into the decision. But I'll admit I didn't persist long enough to find out exactly how much grinding was required; the fact that it was required at all was enough.
Its an option and a trend for IAP.. Why bother? If u have the guts play in grind w/out iap just like me=) Weee!!!! Already bought veyron Add me origin is nafikacak
Echoseven is right! IAP bla bla bla IAP bla bla bla Ops... What day is today? NOV 1ST? VVVVVVVVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTAAAAAAAAAAAA
My God I can't believe someone is saying that replaying a few races just to get that much more money to get a better car than your otherwise can is called grinding. Talk about delusional nuts, we have one here.
Hey man, just a quick question. I think for me the biggest problem in getting the Veyron is not money but SP (skill points). I have finished the game, got gold in 50/60 races yet still have got 275,000 skill points to go before I can unlock the Veyron. Any tips will help. PS: And no, if you're wondering, there are no IAPs for skill points!
