So I am thinking about going into a career in Voice Acting and made this as a demonstration on me attempting Voice Acting. I didn't put a large amount of effort into the emotion of the characters for this as it was just a quick 2 minute thing 1 take for each I did to see if I could get voices right.

But please give constructive criticism as I need criticism to get better.

lol, that was actually pretty good.
I would say that the first piece of constructive criticism isn't about your voice, but about the mic. Get a new microphone that can record better quality audio. Then you will be able to identify your weaknesses more easily.

I didn't like the Sonic voice that much, but the Joker one was pretty good. The laugh at the end needs some work in my opinion though.

Ah yeah I agree the laugh needed some work. But what was wrong about the Sonic one? Was the voice to high?

Yeah, I think that's it. A bit too high for me, not sure what others might think though.

I don't even like his voice in the Sonic X cartoon though, so who knows.

Eh. Try making your voice sound actually like them. It was sorta annoying too. Sorry. *Thumbs down*

I was giggling through most of it, but the little laugh at the end just make me lose it.

Got a question or two or....
Are you focusing only on cartoon characters in your pursuit as a voice actor? Are you looking to replacement some old time favs or creating your own voice thereby making a whole new character for our Saturday morning entertainment?
Maybe a new voice-over in the gaming business?
Curious as to your thoughts on this.

Practice makes perfect, so keep doing these tests and listen to your recording. Try different things to see how they sound.

When I have worked with voice actors for video games, they have been professional actors who have this as one of many strings to their bow. Maybe try joining in a local acting group to get feedback and tips.

The indie iPhone scene is a good place to start voice acting. Put together a showreel without the microphone knocks, showing what you can do. Make a name for yourself by offering to do some free work an a game or two. Then build up to asking for a small cut of the sales. That could build enough experience and contacts for you to take it from there.
