I DID learn some from dare, as well as some other very good drug programs, and from experience. You don't think I've seen idiots at my school, smoking pot or cigarettes? And, all the crap that comes from doing that? AND people getting ARRESTED for this? My god, you poor people... the pot is messing with your head(Ok, so maybe that part is a joke, but I'm serious otherwise). Now if you'd excuse me, I'll go somewhere where there aren't a bunch of potheads defending their ridiculous stance.
the people who get ruined by pot are the ones who carry on into addictive drugs. No one gets ruined by pot. No one. Even most cops won't care and just give you a ticket. Also your fact sheet says that marijuana: alter sense of time, and reduce ability to do things which require concentration, swift reactions, and coordination. I don't know about you, but that sounds pretty relaxed to me. It also states constant users can become: psychologically dependent That means the dependancy isn't physical. It is all in your head. The only addiction is wanting to do it again, but with cigarets your body physically needs more nicotine. On relation to health, the article says that it is: harmful to the lungs because users often inhale the unfiltered smoke I always am cautious about my health, and it isn't very hard to make a filter, and many people who have lung damage from it smoke through plastic or foils which are terrible. I have never done that. A vegan such as your self should also recognize that the cannabis plant is all natural in indigenous across the world. Tobacco however, was much more rare and in modern days, it is altered before resale. Marijuana hardly ever is.
might I add that Steve Jobs has been quoted praising the use of LSD as one of the most important things he's done in his life. Given San Fransisco is probably the most liberal city in America. but some of the world's smartest scientists and programmers have actually accomplished some amazing things under he influence of LSD Now I'm not saying 12 year olds should do drugs, but I'm just sayin...
On top of that, Francis Crick and James Watson (the two people who discovered the double helix shape that DNA is store in) also liked to use a small amount of LSD before researching, and many speculate that they used marijuana at times as well.
*eats popcorns* anyways, 2 things id like to say. firstly, in 10 thousand or so years of usage, not one person on the planet has died as a direct result of smoking pot. however, saying that, just very recently the FIRST ever recorded case of death by misadventure was reported. good odds tho! secondly, to those anti smoking (normal smokes) brigade who rant on about how each one knocks precious time off your life, consider this. at the end of your life you will be old, barely able to hear and a dribbling vegetable. less of those years you have tha better. peace
Yeah... and there's also that guy who murdered his 4-year-old under influence of drugs... and the millions of people who die because of cigarettes... OH and I suppose you didn't know the fact that most pot is chemically altered before it gets to you... I suppose you guys do crack too? Oh and by the way, where I live this crap is illegal, I really don't know about you guys, but the police won't just "Give you a ticket" cuz you usually end up straight in jail. Actually, one day while walking down the street my dad and I found a BONG, and my dad(who should know cuz he's a police officer) said that if he found who was smoking it they would be immediately sent to jail(well, after a trial of course).

Maybe not as a direct side effect of usage, but many people have died from the effects. Getting high can make you do stupid stuff, aka run out into the road or jump off a cliff. Oh, and Watson and Crick also were the ones who stole the DNA work and claimed it as their own. They directly stole their work from Rosalind Franklin. Look, I'm done here, if you babbling idiots want to keep using drugs then go for it. There's no use in trying to convince you stubborn drugees that your choices are wrong. erm, thats bad propeganda really and depends on the individual. its more likely that will happen on alchohol tbh than cannabis yet noone goes on a rant over that do they? its very rare i touch any drugs at all as it happens, when i have ive had far worse effects from legal drugs than illegal ones. each to their own tho, we is all different!
Listen, my dad is a police officer. And I swear to God that that really happened. I wouldn't lie about something like that. True, some legal drugs are a lot worse than the illegal ones, but the government is screwed up like that... We already learned what happens when we make alcohol illegal...

I've grown tired of entertaining this debate with you as you have offered ZERO to the actual topic, and about the only use I've gotten out of your posts is learning the extent of public's misconception on cannabis use. @Acid Bottle-You my friend are not an idiot, and delivered quite a poignant sentiment with "we are all different". It's comforting to know that even though some don't smoke they understand and appreciate the civil liberty of one's choice to do so, and that to me is admirable.
