exactly, and it's this F2P/P4F/FREEMIUM that holds back mobile gaming. AAA games hardly want to make an appearance on mobile and developers who earnestly make good paid games struggle on the platform. There are gamers willing to pay obviously for paid games like NBA 2K18, however the mobile games industry 70% is driven by 'Whales' (who are not gamers, but simply people with OCD that are exploited) People are willing to pay for good games, but will not pay for *crap. *crap maybe too much of a broad stroke, but most of the F2P/P4F/FREEMIUM games on the App store is objectively sh$t and of course a majority of gamers i.e. not whales, of course would not pay. and there are games like Solitaire, we can all agree is fun, and is simply there but are not really worth paying for either. so I think. As long as NBA 2K series is a paid and relatively stable series, it may allow the eventual release of other AAA games (sports at least) when mobile gamers start valuing quality over quantity.
Gameplay feels exactly the same to me. Personally Im just happy that they gave us a full association mode. It was long due. I was looking forward to more controls, like a way to call some basic plays. But they didnt change much in terms of gameplay
NBA 2K18 (By 2K) - IOS/Android QUICK MATCH and BLACKTOP Gameplay I think so far this is the best NBA 2k game. Graphics and controls are great. And what I really love is the Blacktop mode. I think I would play this mode most of the time. You can check out my gameplay vid here including a quick glimpse of Blacktop mode. Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel
Great game needs improvement though. Graphics flickers. Team standings on MyCareer not updating. Commentary on and off. Still needs an update because this is a PREMIUM game!
New update! - all time rosters for all teams, full of legends - practice mode in career mode - new spectator mode This game gets better and better. I just played all time Lakers vs all time Bulls and had a blast!!
