yup, i can see a bug thats easy to recognise, The net. it doesnt move when the ball goes through the hoop. maaaaan the graphics tho, its like they just copy and pasted the faces from 2k14 on console (good thing). if only this was supported on the iphone 4s/ipod touch 5/ipad 3 ;(
Looks like I have to get this. I'm a sucker for great sports games. Wish they'd bring out a similar NFL game after EA crucified the Madden series with cards and iap rubbish. This is what sports gamers want an unadulterated full game. Unfortunately this is as laggy as hell on my iPad Air virtually unplayable at least very un enjoyable. It's a slideshow!! Graphics are brilliant but what's with all the lag? I'll try rebooting and have another go and hope it's better. Otherwise I just wasted $10.
Don't think so. You look at the release date - the day the new iPad comes out. If we want to play it and have great frame rates we'll need the new iPad. Lag is unacceptable. I bet this is just a promotion for the new device. I think we got conned. Bummer! The framerate is so bad it's impacting terribly on my iPad Air. Just paid $10 for a slideshow.
Generally a game can't be optimised for a device that hasn't been announced yet. And if the dev has been given early access, it's normally not released until after the demo on the new hardware. So I don't think your right, but then that's just my opinion.
On some angles and 50% of the times its really smooth on my iPhone 6 but the other 50% it really lags too much. When I choose a camera angle where you won't see much of the crowd its definitely smoother. So there should be potential to optimize this.
I think I saw somewhere you can slowdown the speed of the game?? Maybe that will help by not overloading the processor too quickly. This is a benchmarking game. 1gb ram is just not enough for games like this. I bet the new iPad gets extra ram!!!! They may even sell higher end models with more ram?? You need around 4Gb to play console games on the iPad and a quad core.
I hope I'm wrong. This is the best game I've ever seen on ios but until I can find a way of playing lag free I can't recommend it.
Yeah it looks like it will be good! I can't even try it till I get a new iPad Hopefully by then any bugs will be sorted out.
This isn't remade from scratch. This is a really dumbed down version of NBA 2K13/14. But not watered down enough for proper framerates it seems. The high-def crowd is such an unnecessary feature/framerate hog. Even the next gen pc version has an option to simplify the crowd. Will they ever learn not to sacrifice gameplay for the sake of visual appeal? I'll probably still end up getting it though.. I'm a sucker for NBA 2K. How does it fare on an iphone 5S? The framerate issues do not seem exclusive to the older devices. Edit: Be warned btw; 2K is notoriously bad at upkeep and patching of their releases.
I meant rebuilt from scratch referring to previous mobile versions. 2k14 mobile was basically an updated 2k13 mobile with little difference. 2k15 is a different beast. I have an iPhone 6 and iPad Air. On the iPhone 6 I don't have frame rate issues. I have them on the Air though. I enjoy it much more on my 6
Aside from frequent crashing issues (about once per every two games) the game is amazing on my iPhone 6 plus.
Same for my iphone - haven't tried it yet on my ipad mini retina (have to free up some space first) but it runs pretty well on my iphone 6. Not in a hurry to download it to my ipad though given issues others are having.
Ok guys, I've purchased this for my 128gb iPhone 6 plus. My first impressions are "wow"...this is by far the best looking game on iOS right now, the only issue is inconsistent frame rate...but..I think I might have a work around. I've upped my game speed to 60-65 and its smoother already. The lower the game speed the higher the frame rate and hence the lag. If they tweak a couple settings this game will be amazing. I'm giving it 4/5 right now. Insta buy if you have A8 processor
This game is amazing! The best sports game (or any game) on iOS. The improvement over all previous versions is indescribable. I hope the upcoming NHL 2K is at least half as good as this one!
