Dang that's pretty good thinking. I guess that's why you already have like 37293964 names already going to be in the game.
yeah, I wonder if the dev has liked or wants to use any of these suggestions, i've seen some pretty darn creative suggestions here
Please.... :S Samurai Sushi Stan Gria Pete Zah these three are really bad... I wouldn't pay for a game with these cheesy names. Soudns like you didn't get an opinion from an Italian, Japanese and Spanish native speaker. All of them sound over stereotyped and trivial, not considering that Stan Gria and Pete Zah don't sound italian and spanish at all... It would be like naming an american driver Hamm Burger or Kett Cjapp. (Hamburger or Ketchup). Samurai Sushi??? come on!!! Please... consider the names I sent you by a private message... Thanks, K.
Point taken, and i do know what you mean. Please, if anyone else feels the same - post it here! cheers Morgan
The problem is that unless you go "traditional" (ex: Bob Smith for U.S.A.), the names will probably always sound stereotypical. Unfortunately, that's probably why people tend to get a kick out of them - or at least why us thoughtless Americans do Spotlight, would you consider posting your suggested names to the thread? I'd be curious to see what you consider acceptable names. Thanks!
ok I understand your point of view. Unless we don't use classic names like, as you said, Bob Smith (for the US) or Mario Rossi (Italian) or Hiroshi Tanaka (Japanese) it would be difficult not to be trivial. Anway, I tried to suggest the following names (they're based on modern what's going on in these countries. We can consider them POP): JAPAN: - Nandeyanen (I added this one now. I think it's my favourite one. It's a cool word in Osaka. Very common and "funny", like "what the hell!", but in a nice and funny way.) - Musashimaru - Onigiri Chan - Hayabu Sa - Nobu Masa - Kunoichi (ninja girl) ITALIAN - Iosto Ibba (sounds from Sardinia, at the same time "dinamic" like a driver) - Lo Strano (it means "the freak". Would be a "funny" character) - Il Danii (sounds cool) - Nico Cereghini (hard to explain...but it would be a very cool name for a driver). - Rosetta (this is nice if you have a girl driver. It's the name of a type of bread that sounds like a female name). SPANISH El Toro sounds OK, while Stan Gria is really the worst thing I've ever heard in 2009 This is just my opinion and some names I suggested. Of course I respect all the other people's opinion, but...really...not Pete Zah, Stan Gria and Samurai Sushi!!!
