  4. I got this game, cause I like the icon.

Got no idea if it has icade joystick support, but heck, seems popular in the TA Game of the week thread, so looking forward to putting my icade core joystick down for a couple of minutes. Looking forward to trying it.

  5. What? I got this thinking it was universal, it's iphone only?

    Yikes!

Thanks for the support! Sincerely appreciate it!

Yes, the universal will be the next update after next. First we're pushing out a few bug fixes, and allowing iTouch to be enabled. Still waiting on Apple to approve.

Things that are fixed in the upcoming 1.1.05 update:

Cody's skill cost has been smoothened out
Two new info cards have been added to the end game
    Final Boss has been uncheapened
    Various bug fixes
iTouch compatibility is on. Now any device that can support iOS 5.0 will be able to run our game.
    Added more cats.
Other small balancing issues have been sorted.

OH YEAH!!!! CAUSE I FREAK'N ROCK!!! OH YEAH

    ***doin a little dance...***

    **edit**

and the game crashes right after the enemy says
    "Plan C"
    - and then restarts at the spot right before I beat the last guy...

so... I played the last guy 25+ times in a row, spent 30k BC on boosters, and I did it all for nothing.

An RPG with just money as core mechanic will be twice as tedious. "Normal" RPG's have a currency and experience points that kind of complement each other: gaining money to become stronger via items and gaining experience to become stronger via stats and skills. This also balances them out by generally making things exclusive on each other, money buys only equipment while experience gives access to stats and skills.

With a single money mechanic now you have to grind for a single thing to get what you want so you need to grind. Making the purchases cheaper only shortens the game span and not make it less tedious.

Final Fantasy 2(?) tried a different kind of levelling system where a person gets "better" on everything they do. So casting a spell makes them better on it after certain tries and also getting hit with damage makes you tougher after a certain amount. That deviation was nice in theory but I spent time hitting and casting spells on my own characters in order to buff their HP stat rather than playing it as it was meant to be.

Is Zelda an RPG? Or action game with RPG elements? Doesn't it only have a money only mechanic and you buy everything?

.............Sorry. But at least you have the satisfaction of having beaten the REAL TAPAS. No one can take that away from you! (I wonder why you crashed? Did you have other applications running in the background?)

I suppose it sort of is! Actually if Zelda (original) is an rpg, would metroid be one as well? Or would they just count as an adventure game straight up?

Other than my e-mail app, no. I had just pulled my phone off the charger and done a hard reset before booting the game up ( on my iPhone 5...)

Hmm... I'll look into it. But the update should alleviate these things. (COME ON APPLE, HURRY!)

Going to rip-up the code and find this one. Promise. Sorry for the crash!

You're among the first to beat the real last boss. That's for sure! :)

I guess I was one of those few lucky souls that was able to beat the final boss after finally being able to survive and be lucky for once. Now before you congratulate me, let me tell you my tale of horror. After beating the boss, feeling happy and patting myself on the back, I was halfway through the ending when all the sudden, by game crashed, losing all my progress and not even saving the fact that I beat the boss. Needless to say, I was not a happy gamer that day.

Other than that I'm glad to hear the game is being patched to fix the brokeness of the final boss. I had a lot of fun with the game and it would be nice to see more updates and support for it. Hopefully once the final boss is fixed we'll never seen banhammers of that magnitude ever again :p.

Now that I'm looking around apparently other people are getting the same crash at "Plan C" bug. Hopefully that is fixed along with the final boss
