Having played the beta, I truly feel your selling yourselves short. It's really a shame that a amazing game like this has to be sold at 1.99 to be competive. I truthfully feel a $20 tag is warranted, but based on App Store standards, I feel a $4.99 to $6.99 is a good price. This game truly blew me away and after beating it basically twice I had to delete the beta so I wouldnot over play it. You can count on me buying every Iap. This game is a true gem. Fast
It's somewhat of a open world game. Each level is its own area, which has borders but the levels are HUGE. Trust me there is not another game like it. And if your up for a challenge then playing this on hard really tests your skills in a way that is truly fun. It's hard to find a game that test your abilities on the ios platform. Most of the time if a game is hard its because of the controls, but I'm glad to say the controls are spot on. Fast
In all honesty, I completely agree, this Game is worthy of a $4.99+ price tag. The beta was just amazing, and I'm sure the full game will be better! Don't sell yourself short, I love the quality and Graphics.
I hope IAP will be not needed. I can buy a game at 6.99 but without IAP. A game 1.99 or 2.99 with plenty of IAP needed is not a good game for me.
Thank you guys (on your price opinions) Nope, I can guarantee its not needed The IAP in NYZ2 is just for "premium" weapons that are actually more like cheats than anything else. For ex you can buy a set of special dual pistols that have unlimited ammo (or rather, never have to reload, which is very important in NYZ franchise), or a special Kevlar vest that offers 75% protection from enemies. That's not to mention there ARE plenty of opportunities to earn these weapons in game without spending a dime. Not to mention many of our beta testers have beaten the game several times (when IAP wasn't even available in beta)... so again, NOT required!
Oh yeah, and let the countdown continue! THREE days until late Wed release (EST time)! Overlord This immobile creature has been deformed beyond all recognition. Burrowing in from underground to root itself into place, the Overlord has an aura that increases all enemy health in the environment. It will be absolutely imperative that you seek these abominations out and destroy them as quickly as possible, or else risk getting overwhelmed by even the weakest of zombies!
Good to hear that. Thanks. Many developers are rouining their good games putting IAP everywhere. Gameloft like...
"It will be absolutely imperative that you seek these abominations out and destroy them as quickly as possible" *Shudders* I would go great lengths to remove that thing from existence, so it won't haunt me.
Maybe I came off the wrong way. I was saying I would buy the IAP's to support the devs because of the low price point. There is Absolutly no need to purchase IAP's. and as the dev said there more like cheats, which truthfully I won't use in regular play anyway. If you've played any fm game, you'll know the way they implement IAP's and I wish more devs took that approach.
Being able to beta test this game was a pleasure and I can assure everyone that 1.99 is a steal for this game on release. It has a ton of gameplay on the campaign alone and then you add in MP, a true bargain. This game is atmospheric, strategic, challenging ( unlike some zombie games) and most importantly fun to play. A few years ago, a fair price of 4.99 to 6.99 would have been enough to put this game at the top of the charts but unfortunately the way the pricing trend is. iOS gamers want everything for a dirt cheap price.... I really hope this game is very successful and allows the devs to make a good profit.
^ Exactly right. Awesome game. Iap is there but absolutely and completely unnecessary. As fastbridge said, if you want use it as a way to support the dev, but you certainly won't need any to complete any form of play through of the game. I'd say more but I'll save it for the release thread, don't want to reveal too much or break beta rules. But if you enjoy a shooter game and enjoy strategy in a game, its an instabuy. Oh, the graphics are very cool also.
Got to agree with everything being said, and me, being one of the gamers wanting dirt cheap games, this looks amazing, and 1.99 or 2.99 would be my go to price point for any larger long term developement strategic game (not puzzle game or sim) I'm mainly in the dirt cheap range because I've spent around 200 dollars on iOS games, so still far less than console gamers, but a lot.
Finally, release week Tumor Zombie Another old friend from the first N.Y.Z, the Tumor Zombie resurrects all zombies around him, making it extremely difficult to kill them without first killing the Tumor Zombie. The Tumor Zombie is especially difficult in closed off, confined areas where he can use hordes of zombies to shield himself from your bullets and attacks.
Many a deaths during beta were associated with this bugger. A warning to everyone, kill this thing first. If you don't....well, you'll find out in three days
