I know! Knowing we're going to beta test an awesome game that's not even available to us yet is like knowing what you're getting for Christmas but can't open the present yet! lmao
I probably shouldn't even say, but we're shooting for a Fri night beta release. HOPING for one at least... And whew... just finishing up the last of the ~50 extra journal pages you can find throughout the game If you like collecting stuff and are a completionist, you'll have a lot to do in this game LOTS of story too... I was also just thinking... Is there even a serious zombie shooter with co-op on iOS?
Nice. COD is there but I wouldn't call it a serious coop zombie shooter. It's good enough but is just missing something. Serious completionist. That is both good news and bad news for my OCD. Good news for me, bad news for those around me.
You're kidding.... right? COD zombies has the best zombie story ever, but you obviously don't know about it. No game in the Multiplayer fps co-op genre can compete with COD zombies yet.
I know the story, but it wouldn't compare to a full on zombie game with a full campaign. Although that could change in BO2.
The iOS version definitely doesn't own up to the console storyline (with how little there really is) Heads up: I've been playing The Zombies storyline since CoD:WaW
Considering my gut feeling that this will explode if left unattended...I'm gonna change the subject! Has there been any significant changes since the gameplay trailer? (graphics, enviroments, enemies...etc)
Probably right I was just wondering if I forgot any other serious co-op zombie shooters other than COD... and even then its a different, slower paced feel imo than say L4D, which is more of the experience we'll be shooting for with our co-op arena. Anyway, we've made big changes in the lighting since the trailer... now enemies are all dynamically lit according to the level, and we have a cool muzzle flash effect that will illuminate the environments and enemies. Really cool to be in a dark hospital, where you can mostly only see glowing zombie eyes, and then to illuminate the whole area every time you shoot... its a nice effect There's also a lot more environments than those we showed on the trailer On another note, we're also really glad we were able to pull off FULL effects for iPhone4 and iPod Touch 4th gen... Often you see lots of lighting and other things pulled from those version, but we've managed to squeeze those in and keep the framerate close to 30 fps! And one final thing for those wondering, NYZ2 should fully fit the iPhone5 screen right out of the gate, with no update needed
This is why you guy's are awesome! Always thinking about the guy's with outdated devices like me I cannot wait to test the living (or unliving) crap outta this game!
Ahhh the anticipation! I haven't wanted a game this bad in a long time! And sorry if you mentioned it already, but what will the price be?
That sounds very cool. (all three points) The muzzle flash effects sound perfectly suited to what I anticipate the game to be like. Fitting iPhone 5 out of the gate with no update surprises me. However considering I'll have one when the game officially launches, I'm also very happy to hear it. Was that difficult to implement I'm wondering?
Sweet to hear that this will fit the new screens from the get-go, as i'll probably have a 5th gen touch when this is released!
With fewer poorly balanced weapons, *ahem* Nor dead triggers lack of story ( or maybe worse, inclusion of a poor one shoehorned in) maybe not as good of graphics, skills, many more levels, many more different types of zombies (17 i know of compared to dead trigger's five or seven depending on if you count same model with more health/speed as a new zombie) better atmosphere, probably (hopefully) more open and bigger maps, and of course, brand loyalty FOURSAKEN FOUREVER!
