Hey guys, sorry for the lack of news... Our 3d artist has been sick for the past week and one of our members was out of the country, which has really slowed development... We were really hoping to have something to show by now, but life happens We're getting rolling again though, so hopefully not much longer.
I know the news is slower going then we all hoped (especially us!), but here are a few WIP screens of central park! Good news is we're wrapping up all initial... well, everything, so I think we'll be cooking up a video either this week, or next! Also FYI, in this game gun mechanics play a more important role... you can tap to shoot "from the hip" just like NYZ1, but accuracy is much less. All guns can access iron sights for improved accuracy. You'll also notice we lowered the weapon/item slots to 4... we felt this was a necessary change with the addition of free move (otherwise there would be TOO much going on). Weapons have been rebalanced accordingly (faster reloads, etc), but the key to success will still be switching between your weapons in order to handle appropriate enemies. Also keep in mind the skill tree adds a new dimension, so there is PLENTY of customization.
This is going to be EPICCCCCC! NYZ is probably my favorite iOS title of all time. Thanks for all the info guys. It's great to have devs as active here as you guys are. The game is looking incredible.
And please tell me those windows were shot out by the players bullets? Destructible environments would be amazing.
Hey guys, just wanted to share another screen while we're working on the trailer -- this one of Time Square. We still have a decent amount of work to do, but things are starting to come together nicely. Trailer should hopefully be out this week or next!
Looks insane. I see the screen says search for a working car? Are the levels based on getting to a destination and it ending that way or is it still the same premise as nyz1?
The levels are all objective based, and more tied to the story... so some might have you defending against a wave, some might have you scavenging for items, others saving survivors (or defending them... or them helping to defend you ), some getting to a location, and a bunch of other sub objectives like boarding up doors to keep zombies out, for ex. I think we've managed a nice variety. What do you mean when you say "the same premise as NYZ1" btw? You mean like, killing everything every level and surviving x time?
Spoiler Like remember 'you' wake up and then you find the zombie infection is about to start happening for real?
Spoiler I thought that the plot was infinite, you know, a dream inside a dream inside a dream, etc., and the same dream over and over again.
Thanks FM. You basically answered my question. I was at work and was typing that as fast as I could. Lol. I love the idea of different objectives. I just hope you guys can fit in some huge boss battles. Maybe a level or two that have only one huge boss instead of a wave of many zombies. Game looks great and thanks for the updates. It means a lot to this community. CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS GEM!!!!
