I bought their other big game Bug heroes or whatever it was called only to find it being freemium later on and a "deluxe" version was out. This said "intro price $1,99 get it fast blabla" (which is getting old btw) in the description while the dev later said they were gonna drop the price "coz it's the AppStore" something along those lines. So just asking...
With graphics so downgraded it looks worse than IB1 or MC3. No retina, low res textures, no realtime shadows, choppy framerate and crashes galore. I'll just drop it, don't want to derail the thread.

JBruu, you know yourself there are a lot of games that look great on the ipod 4G. Dead space, Infinity Blade, Shadowgun...., to name a few. Just because it's an older model doesn't make it bad.
I wouldn't exactly go about putting Shadowgun on that list. It doesn't really work for iPod Touch 4G users. On-topic: Now that the bugs/issues are patched up, I'll have to get this game soon. Looks really good, Foursaken Media!
Shadowgun worked perfectly fine on my 4G iPod. The graphics looked great too. On topic: I recommend this game for 2 bucks.
I never said it was bad. I just said it is outdated for gaming. I own one, I know exactly how you feel. But it has 256mb of RAM, a quarter of current gen devices. A chipset that is over 2 years old. As a result, it creaks and groans when playing any high end game that has been released within the past year. Most high end games coming out now don't even support it; the juice just isn't there. It's just how tech, especially mobile, advances. And as it should. The iPod 4 came out on 2010, in mobile tech years that's ancient. That's when the iPad 1 came out, and no one expects the iPad 1 to be supported for high end gaming anymore. It just isn't possible without degrading quality for everyone else. As for the above games you mentioned, Shadowgun is a crash fest, Dead Space was released in January of 2011 (so nearly 2 years ago) and IB2 honestly looks awful, much worse than something like Lili or NOVA 3 or TDKR. I've seen gameplay and it just is so downgraded it's hard to recognize. I'm not trying to knock your device, not sitting up on my high horse and bragging, but I am saying that the iPod4, along with the iPad 1 and really the iPhone 4 is just not sufficent for the higher end of mobile gaming anymore. I'd recommend getting an iPad mini or an iPad 2, looks like the tech will be supported for another year or so and that could hold you over until the iPad 5 or iPod 6.
Really? Does it still work on your iPod Touch 4G with iOS6? On-Topic: Has anyone had any problems with iCloud though? Or is iCloud in this game working fine. Also, is the iCloud storage mechanism in this game key-value storage or is it Documents and Data? (The difference between these 2 is that the former doesn't show up in the "iCloud" settings menu in Settings.app, while the latter does.)
You are correct. I actually haven't played Shadowgun in months. With the iOS 6. It constantly crashed and lagged.
Good post Jbruu, you make many valid points. Even though the iPod 4G may meet my general needs, it just doesn't work very well for newer high end games. I definately need to upgrade !
what the hell with the subway! I arrived to the final set of rock, it says go out of here but I don't see anything... where should I go? it's so dark you can't see a damn thing, with all of these zombies around me, I died before finding the way out. Like for the brooklyn bridge where it shows "talk to the survivor" but didn t know she was out as there s nothing subjecting it(especially as she screams just before that she won t come out)! it took me 5 times to discover that she was out... There s really a lack of explanation from time to time that makes this game more frustrating than simply challenging...
Multiplayer automatch aint working So I just got the game and I really like it so far, though I was looking forward to the multiplayer but it seems like every time i get auto matched with someone it says they disconnected, seems like this is happening to other people too. But it seems like for some the multiplayer is working when invited by a friend on game center so if anyone wants to play please send me an invite My game center id : m4ur0c Btw how will I know I got an invite to a game are there push up notifications? Never used game center before.
Yeah, there seems to be a couple hiccups to multiplayer right now, but when it works, it's super fun. Maybe we can play a match or two sometime! And yes, you'll get a push notification saying someone invited you to a game.
