Do doors and NPC's not get those arrows? And they should pop up on the minimap from any distance, that would essentially fix the issue. I spent at least 15 minutes on the apartment level trying to find that dang chained-up door. Glad to hear that the framerate is gonna be fixed, although I wouldn't call my 4G a "lower-gen" device. Sure, it can't run top-o'-the-line AAA turbo-charged super duper looper extreme games like MC3 or Horn, but it can run Infinity Blade II just fine.
Just bought the game when i finished the first one. Was disappointed that it is free roaming. Love the first game 'cos there's no need to move around like the other FPS games. I would think the developer is trying to add a role-playing element in it.
I know its kind of a lose lose for us... the majority from NYZ1 were clamoring for free move (we took polls, read all the reviews, etc), so thats what we added. Obviously there was a fan base who loved the static movement, and it sucks we couldn't please everyone - but this was the decision we ended up with. Anyways on brighter news, update is finally "In Review", so it shouldn't be long now!
If you weren't such cool guys making such cool games, this back-and-forth would actually be pretty hilarious... Whaddayagonnado? DBC
Foursaken is right. You can't please everyone. A lot of people thought Ny zombies 2 would be better if it was Free roam.... So they implemented that in the sequel. I enjoy it and for 1.99 it's an excellent deal. Really hoping for connectivity with mp on this update.
OK, I finished Super Mario 3 and played Frogger on my Amstrad CPC decades ago when you probably were in diapers, so there really is no point in insulting me, saying I don´t have any skill. I was wondering when someone would come with that stupid argument. I can´t believe that you don´t get stuck, that fact that you just can´t walk past a trashcan, because the game is unable to let you slide past it when you just barely touch it is the main problem here. This and the bad level design, mainly the park where you get stuck on almost everything there. If you love the game then fine, I am on the other hand very dissapointed and I loved the first NY Zombies. This feels like a bad FPS on a Touch device....and I haven´t found a single FPS on iOS that I like playing, mainly because of the bad controls. I was really looking forward to the sequel, but the walking totally has put me off. There is not a single different thing anymore to this game compared to games like the horrible Dead Trigger. I am hoping that updates fix the control issues. The other suggestion would be to have a radar blip after a while on missions like "Scavenger" when the player isn´t finding the items.
No disrespect but there are plenty of good fps games on iOS with great controls . I play many fps games on iOS and yes I do play console, pc games. Games like the modern combat, nova series, codwaw zombies, just to name a few. I find it just takes some practice. It took me a while to get used to iOS touch screen controls for fps games. A week or so... but once I got it, it became second nature and I actually really like touch screen controls.
Same here. This game is already great, and I'm confident with future updates it's just going to get better. Probably my 2nd favorite iOS zombie game.
Well I can´t stand them, it´s a personal taste and I have never thought that there were good FPS controls on iOS. Nova was the same, if there was not that excessive auto-aiming then the game would be unplayable. While playing FPS on a console or PC feels totally natural, on iOS it just feels forced. That is my opinion.
You know, that's why we tried to do something different with the tap to shoot setup... its actually using the touch screen for the fastest and most precise (well, minus the in-game weapon accuracy values ) response you can get in terms of a shooting game on a touch device. Does it work? That's obviously highly debatable But we were trying to do something that we thought would be both easier to control, and take better advantage of the touch screen. But again, we've taken note that not everyone agrees with us - and I agree the new controls (a standard control scheme) works much better on an iPad due to awkward holding position with the tap-to-shoot setup. We deeply care what people think about our games, so we'll keep adding what we need to add until as many people as we can get are satisfied!
I would put in behind Codzombies, Black ops zombies. It's still good, mp could make a difference. There is also 2013 infected wars coming out, should be a good game and give some heavy competition.
Yup, COD WAW Zombies is my 1st fav iOS zombie game. Black Ops is good too, but it just didn't click with me as well as WAW did.
The problem with BO zombies is that Game center sucks for multiplayer.... If they had their own servers like codwaw, then BO zombies would kick butt, it still does because of their cool maps, but so hard to connect to multiplayer which is an essential part of zombie games to play co-op. I was just playing codwaw zombies and connected to 2 other players within 30 seconds on quick play. If Black ops would get their own servers I would be playing that game a lot more.
Best news I've heard all day!!! Guys, get ready for some MP action!!! EDIT: It's OUUUUUTTTT!!! Downloading now!
