God, this! I hate tap to shoot games... Makes me feel like I'm not playing a real game sometimes but idk, maybe that's just me? Will definitely buy if they add different control schemes (and it's still $1.99)
Game Impressions N.y.Zombies 2 sounds like an ambitious game for the ios. It has story, skill trees, free roaming eviroments, a suprising number of weapons, coop multiplayer, aswell as multiple game types and zombies. In some games you will be looking for keys to open locked doors, protecting survivors, and trying to survive for as long as possible. The graphics are acceptable on the ios but don't expect anything great and besides a few bugs this is a pretty solid game.
Sounds good. If you want to play a little right now johnny and anyone else who wants to I have about 20 minutes enforce I have to tear myself away from the screen and get some work done.
That is a good description and I've always said this about New York zombies, is that it isn't about the graphics. It's about gameplay and strategy. The graphics still look good but the dev chose to concentrate on gameplay instead of Dead Trigger type graphics. I appreciate the ambition. This is the first time for an iOS zombie game that there has been so many differen't zombie types. It does have a left for dead feel to it. Your paying 2 bucks for approx. 10 hours of campaign solo play, more for nightmare mode, if you can complete it and then add the mp on top of it. A real value.
Sorry bud, can't do it right now because I'm at work but I would definately like to this weekend, sometime. What is your GC id and I'll add you.
Now that ive played it a while I think they should not change movement speed any faster. I like the feeling of progression and now thst ive upgraded some weapons i feel like it would take away the challange for players far in. The movement speed also seems just right for the map sizes. I still think it would be cool to have a side effect to having low health. At least in co op. like slower movement or slower reloading while hurt or somethig.
Mmmm... Graphics aren't the be all and end all for me but I just can't handle the controls for this. With below par graphics and poor controls I'm disappointed to have paid for this. I can see the attraction for people who can get the controls though. Shame because I really like the first game..... Maybe I've just been overly critical. I'll give it another shot sometime
Real pleased to read that the skill trees carry over. I've kinda gotten myself distracted with side missions. (Which are so much fun! Love the varied types and varied rewards.) I've got a skill tree question, for people who are further than me/beta players. Is it going to gimp my progression too much to pick and mix from low down the trees on the first play through rather than focussing on one? Some many interesting skills, I fancy mixing it up.
Just played through the first couple of levels, and DAAAYUUMMM, I am totally enjoying this! Been worth the wait!! Seeing a bunch of folks complaining about the controls, I'm not having any issue with them. This isn't a "run and gun" type game like Dead Trigger... N.Y. Zombies has always been about choosing the right weapons for different scenarios. This is just like the first one in that sense, just with the ability to move about freely, and FM did a great job implementing that. And I'm really enjoying it so far!! Can't wait to try out co-op!! Those dang zombie crows, though...
The game seems ok (graphics are not very impressive) , but i have some big problem with controls too... and the walking speed is a bit slow... hope there will be some tuning.
Not a fan of the controls. Otherwise it's good, but the walking seems really weird, aiming is off and the joystick is awkward. Gameplay is excellent, the atmosphere is scary and the story is top-notch and it has a co-op so it is forgiven
Glad I'm not the only one having performance issues in iPhone 4 with ios 6. Argh, of course I just decided to update to 6 yesterday and it messes up a game. Looking forward to the patch and playing the hell out of this.
