it should be quite stimulating Didn't play this game, it felt rather bloody, but it should be quite stimulating.
Pity especially when thinking back to the original N.O.V.A.s. On the other hand, nothing new in (modern) Gameloftland. Afaik their sales are slipping though, guess a lot of ppl have enough of paying 100 bucks for some superpack for the umpteenth iteration of the same few franchises. And they actually released a premium title recently (forgot the name) - Alas, for Gameloft that’s more surprising than Energy, Dual currencies etc ... But maybe it’s a good sign for them to dabble with premium again (a man can dream ), imho they lost most of their mojo after having gone full freemium ... But guess that’s probably a pipe dream ... A more customer friendly move would have been to at least also finally upgrade N.O.V.A. 3 and MC4 to be compatible with iOS 11 simultaneously with this release. Bought them once, would love to be able to play them again instead of a N.O.V.A. F2P hell (as “stimulating” as it may be ) Much smaller companies were able to manage to upgrade their libraries for 11 and most of them probably sold much fewer copies of their respective games.
For bite sized chunks this isnt too bad. But I lost my love for Gameloft after they ruined the Dungeon Hunter franchise. Went freemium crazy with that game Fond memories of the early Gameloft years when every release seemed a huge game for iOS
Agreed 100%. The premium Dungeon Hunters were masterpieces back in the day, especially for mobile. Same with the pay once Modern Combats, N.O.V.A.s, Asphalts etc. This company was so amazing once, pushing the graphical limits, filled with innovation. But this all got lost when they started to care more about monetization, micro transactions and squeezing out as much as possible out of the customer while giving him a worse gaming experience than before. Nothing wrong with wanting to make money but fun and quality shouldnt suffer for it ...
Oh no I expected this. It plays really well and fast and runs like an absolute dream even on an iPhone 5. They are as wonderful at making games as ever. Still fun but do know what you're getting here.
The thing is it all seemed to go downhill when they went freemium. Before with the dungeon hunter and heroes of Sparta games (and others) it was all premium priced. Second they changed they went downhill, closed offices and let people go. Best company by far in the early days of the App Store.
I'm just grinding in this game and everything thus far has been super easy to get. Not enough people playing online though. The interest in a game like this is gone, now that there is PUBG and Fortnite mobile. They would have better spent their time on a new IP.
