A5x can't handle 3d games like this in native resolution at a good framerate of around 45-60 fps, which was what mc3 was. To many particles and large environments. The res needs to be toned down, then it will have a better fps with all the effects easily. Retina takes a LOT of gpu grunt.

What do you rate this game out of 10 in multi and campaign. Thinking of buying it. Is the lightning gun op to anyone who has it?

No, it isn't. The range isn't good enough, fortunately.

Multi would be 8/10, GL needs to fix some stuff like jet packs and vehicles being underpowered.

Campaign is the best GL has done in a LONG time. 9/10.

That said, the multi is still epic and very, very fun. Different from mc3 in a good way.

Just earned my jet pack the old fashioned way. It's extremely fun to use, but it does make the game easier. Maybe, instead of nerfing the jet pack, Gameloft should make it cheaper so that pretty much anyone can use it.

Divide only... Alert campers will die easily. Besides, do you see that sort of thing in Scramble? Nope. MC3 is faster killwise, just cause there are no campers doesn't mean there's constant action

Just tried multiplayer and was again very pleasantly surprised. I'm not a huge FPS player (I suck) but the game was quite fun, even had a nice Killchain going (nothing to brag about). But I found myself not frustrated like I typically am in FPS global multiplayer matches.

I for one like the large maps, I like being able to take off and regroup myself.

I'm glad I stuck with NOVA 3 and came to grips with it as it really is an outstanding iOS FPS experience once you get used to the controls and adjust them as needed.

In addition to allowing New iPad users to choose between the retina resolution or motion blur & particle affects - you will also be able to continue your campaign on different devices.

That's fantastic news, Callum. Thank you for updating us on this forum as well.
Do you by any chance have an indication when we can expect the new update?
(Personally, I won't engage in the single player campaign until I can enjoy it with full effects. But I must really hold back here! :p)

Woah a gameloft game with icloud? That's great ;) Can you confirm if the new ipad will run at the ipad 2 resolution with particle effects or a higher one? Also any ETA?

  11. It'll be the iPad 2 resolution w/ the particle effects.

No confirmed release date yet, but stay tuned!

I don't know if I got a A6 chip in my iPad by mistake because this game is running flawless on my iPad 3. I've been a iOS gamer for a long time as u can see by my start date here and I know when a game is not running good or the framer ate is choppy but when I play this on my iPhone 4s and my ipad3 the game runs super smooth. Maybe because that's the only content I have on my iPad? Idk but this game is running great.

Have you tried multiplayer maps like Scorched Earth? Have you tried firing against a wall or Glass? You should see the fps drop in those situations.

    He works at Gameloft ;)

    @Nabelo
I think he meant all of them, it wouldn't make sense otherwise since the new ipad is more powerfull.

Yes i also believe that he means ALL the effects... It will be strange to bring to iPad3 the iPad2 resolution with the half effects.
