ME!! MC3 with vehicles and the maps... Anyway removed it... It was pretty fun to play a completely different game, but I didn't do so well, it takes up so much space on my iPod and the fog is really ruining the experience for me. Plus I really want my MC3 back. If you have an iPod, I'd say MC3 is a better choice.
I think it would be best if the next MC would just try to coppy Battlefield (3). (The multiplayer, not the singleplayer of course)
I doubt iOS devices, at the minute, have enough power for huge maps with tons of vehicles and players.
They don't have to make the maps that big, and I wouldn't be surprised if in MC4 they'll drop support for 3rd and 4th gen (smaller) iDevices, so they probably could up the player count to something like 16
The true battlefield experience is on pc in my opinion, but the consoles have adjusted, smaller maps than the pc version to make it optimised for less players. Anyhow, this is getting quite off-topic now...
Yep, about time they make a BF clone and not MW. Well we just saw Nova 3 do that, why not MC4? Yeah make maps about same as Nova 3 of course a little bigger for jets and stuff and drop support of low ram devices and have 16 players and we have a BF3 clone. 16 players on iOS scale would be huge.
as long as they indeed will include 2x or 4x AA. i will not pick the lowe res if there is no AA. that will look too ugly on a new ipad.
Have you played BF3 (especially on PC)? The size of maps like Operation Firestorm, Caspian Border, Sharqi Peninsula and Strike at Karkand, to name a few, are gigantic! And 16 players might be huge for you iOS FPS players but to me that would not give it a battlefield feel... 1 person in 2 jets, 2 people in 2 helicopters and ~2 people in 4 tanks would mean there's only a few people on the ground! It would have to have more than 16 players or not many vehicles, in which case it isn't BF.
Not sure how I feel about this game. The graphical upgrades are great--they are what I've been hoping all devs would do for a long time now, take full advantage of the A5 proc...sad to see that they maximize it at the towards the end of it's cycle though. But I digress. Graphical upgrades aside, it's still typical Gameloft FPS fare--which isn't a bad thing: if you enjoyed MC3 or Nova 2, you'll enjoy this. I enjoy it just as much as I did MC3 but I hope it doesn't lose it's appeal as quickly as that one did. Haven't tried multiplayer yet though. What I cannot stand are the frequent (and lengthy) freezes in gameplay (I assume to load data mid game); the first couple of times they occurred I thought my iPad2 had crashed. Overall I'd rate this a 4/5, good game. What I want to see is for them, to apply some of these effects (like Bump Mapping) to MC3 in an update. Any insight into this Sanuku?
I would say that they are already half way into making modern combat 4 so expect this tech in that, maybe more refined to run better hopefully.
@JBRUU I sent you a friend request, so please add me. @Rip73, VaroFn What is your Gameloft Live username? I tried searching you but I didn't get any results.
You should be surprised if they do that. The 4th Gen devices are the majority of the iDevices out there, so if they're dropped, then profits go way down. Certainly not enough to justify the steep price tag. Also, with the small number of 4S and iPad 2+ devices, filling a game with 16 players would be a feat.
I have tried on my friend's pc and it was incredible. I realize your concerns, but if they were to clone BF, of course they would have to make it on a smaller scale. Nova 3 has about 3-4 vehicles available at times and with only 12 people there's still lots of people on the ground! With 16 players and maybe 1 more vehicle there would still be people enough on the ground. If Gameloft really would clone BF it could be possible they'd even have 18 players. Yeah, but once newer devices come out and now new devices go cheaper, the things will change.
Hey, does anybody know if, in the campaign, you can open the blue-glowing resupply boxes? Or is it just the stuff laying around them that is available?
