Dunno, the no shooting mid air I think wouldn't be right because that limits your weapons as well which would be a bit unfair really. Something that limits the power or frequency of the usage of the jet pack alone would be better. Sorta like when you're sprinting in the campaign, you cannot do it without having to slow down after a bit because the you get tired, same as mc3 multiplayer actually. Put the same thing in place for the jet pack and it'll balance things out better. On another point, the sprint should be in place in the multiplayer as well. I noticed on badlands, that you can sprint all the way around it. In saying that, I am still having a whole lot of fun with the game, just some balancing tweaks.
yo I never played Nova 2 for long, it was boring And now I'm starting out as a noob which you ehem, probably noticed Damn you with your high rank stuff!!! xD One day I'll own you... If not in Nova then MC3, because there I would beat you now So yeah, no experience with futuristic shooters at all, they're so different from MC series!
It was a good run while it lasted. The hackers are definitely in charge now. Played against a guy called GENIUSGAMING. He got 48-1. Had a jet pack and rpg. He never reloaded, literally bounced around the map firing rockets off in a row, no reload and if he was only killed once, unlimited ammo obviously. 'twas nice while it lasted. And by the way if he is a member here and denies hacking, that's bull. No reload and infinite ammo is hacking.
The RPG reloads really faster, there's even a perk for that, and there are even tricks for using the jetpack every time you want. Those things and a shield perk should work really well. Also, you can buy ammo from the pause menu I think. BTW, my GL is Dracoeldragon
Yep, I get all your points there but if he killed 48 times and fired off about three or four rockets per kill and also just bounced around firing off rockets, that's a minimum off 200 rockets. He was killed once, so a minimum of 100 rockets per life. And those minimum are only based on the kills, include random firing and you can double it. And when I say no reload, I mean no reload, no delay between firing, none. I don't think any speed reload skill is as fast as zero reload time. I think it's fair to say it can only be a hack. I know for a fact there is an infinite ammo hack which includes no reload as they usually do.
@VaroFN I'll have to send you a friend request next time I'm on because I've played against you a few times and got killed a fair bit by ya. They were good games, you're skill is very good.
So just like a rifle? I thought you meant he was firing fast, not THAT fast. Too bad. Hope N3 won't be like MC3, infested by hackers everywhere. But at least here is easier to knife them haha Yep, I just accepted your request! And thanks, but I don't think I am that good
Wow!!! Great News!!! They 'll do what exactly i was hoping... Lets hope for a quick update... Rush GL... rush!!!
I'll definitely play the game at 1024 x 768, slightly upscaled, with AA, particle, smoke, and lighting effects as opposed to 2048 x 1536 without any effects. I mean, what kind of GPU must a normal PC require to run a FPS at 30fps solid with all those kind of graphical effects at that resolution? It's obvious that the Quad Core GPU in the new iPad isn't going to push 2048x1536 with all the effects possible, it's a tablet costing between £399 to £699 depending on model, not a custom built gaming rig with the latest GPU card. The new iPad should be developed to run all games at iPad 2 resolution, upscaled, with all the graphical effects enabled. Even Infinity Blade 2 does not run at full new iPad native resolution (I think it's 1.4x iPad 2 resolution).
I'm assuming this won't affect iPhone users... Think we'll be able to do the same thing on an iPhone 4?
Doubt it. What I'd really LOVE to see is the fog completely gone in the next update... Then this game would be cool.
I can't see it affecting the iPhone 4, as we run the game at 960 x 640 as things stand, so unlike the iPad version there's no 'lesser but superior' version to fall back on. The iPhone 4 will remain pretty much as is, perhaps a stability update at best.
Finally got a chance to play this last night, and it is frickin amazing. Hands down the best multiplayer I have ever played on the iOS.
hmm... so I have no interest in MP FPS on the iDevice... Would you guys say that you'd feel you got your moneys worth if you just played through the campaign?
I've been playing through this for the last few days and I have still have no intention of even logging into Gameloft Live, but yeah... I have both of the previous N.O.V.A. titles and never really enjoyed them, but let's just say that I haven't been playing Gene Effect because of this. In the end, it's your typical Gameloft game, but for reason, it's hard to put down. Considering you have an iPad 2 and you're getting the real N.O.V.A. 3 experience, I'd say it's definitely worth it.
right on, thanks. looks like yet another couple bucks tossed away. =oP at least this one is universal... unlike the previous ones. =oP
