For the ipad 1 it's average in single player but playable and quite low in multiplayer.

Oh and the ipad 2 is running everything smoothly and has a Powervr too so with twice the power (mp4) i'm sure that it can be runned at a moderate resolution (ex:1480)

The game is NOT optimized for the iPhone 4S. It still needs a lot of tweaks and fixes.

When I said " Greatest device yet" I was actually being a bit sarcastic. Although I know that I wasn't clear at all.

Just played a multiplayer round in lost works and some dude just hovered in the middle of the street, he was completely invincible and was cherry picking every body. Anyone else seen this?

Alrighty! Heres a speedy review for anyone with an iPod touch 4th generation:

Singleplayer- 9.5/10 Extremely varied, and runs very well.

Multiplayer- 4/10 Maps are too big, starting weapons are too weak, extremely bad preformance with a weak FPS and fog everywhere. Vehicles are too weak, and for the most part, useless.

Graphics- 10/10 The game looks absolutely amazing during the singleplayer, not so much during the Multiplayer though, as stated above.

Sound- 8.5/10 Great vouce acting, and really good gun sounds. Although, the enemy voices aren't great.

Gameplay- 9.5/10 Sprinting, iron sights, and an overhauled AI system make this game the best in the series, by far.

The campaign is playable on an iPad 1, but multiplayer is a mess. Unless you're playing on a certain indoor map with 6 players max (which is, admittedly, ridiculously fun), then you get fog and ~15 FPS, and it's pretty much unplayable.

And yeah, I've noticed transparency slows things down more than anything else on my iPad. Also I've made some posts asking for the option to run the game in 2x scaled mode to help with the framerate (see page 56 -- iPhone games running in 2x run smoother than HD versions), so if you and the other iPad 1 users could +1 that then that'd be great.

Those people obviously failed to realize that MC3 is a 17+ rated game...

Anyway, NOVA 3 is fantastic, the best in the series yet. However, some questions. Is it just me, or do you not get the paralyze power in the NOVA 3 campaign. I remember using it in the first mission, but I am currently jet starting the desert mission and I don't have the paralyze power/skill.

Also, is it just me, or does it take a lot of bullets to kill somebody in multiplayer with the assualt rifle? I am currently using the attachments Faster Firing+ Extended mags, and it is taking an upwards of 20+ bullets to kill somebody. Also, when you use the vehicle self repair skill, how does it work? Because I used it multiple times and my vehicle health never improved.

When you look at a full-size screenshot from the iPad 3, it's not surprising that it can't cope with the advanced effects. It's impressive that it runs smoothly as it stands. They need to add an option to render the game at a lower resolution to get those effects working.

Funnily enough I play it on iPhone 4s and iPad 2 and I see no difference between the two.

100% agree. I think the game is simply a lot of fun which is exactly what a game should be.

A few things about the multiplayer:
The maps are too big to make people want to drive a 4x4/Mech. They aren't that big when you use the sprinting perk though.
The starting weapons are too cheap so that every player will want to buy some IAP. Weapons like the Plasma Pistol are awesome.
    The performance is worse than extremely bad... iPhone 4S + N.O.V.A. 3 < iPod 4 + MC 3
The vehicles are AWESOME!!! Well, only the 4x4, at least for me.

Really? Lucky you. I am getting a lot of performance issues on iPhone 4S, single player or multiplayer (but, of course, the multiplayer performance is a lot worse though). I want to enjoy this game as much as I can, but with those constant framerate drops I just can't...

Haven't seen anything like that but it has to be a hack I suppose.
I assume he was using the jet pack but as far as I know it won't just hover normally.
If it is a hack, that must have been one dull match.
The leaderboard top 10 obviously has some hackers in it anyway because a lot of the numbers just don't add up when compared with genuine players.
    A 10 to 1 k/d ratio for example just doesn't seem possible.
I think the highest I've seen in mc3 is 5 to 1 from a genuine player (non hacker) so using that as a high end benchmark.
The best I've seen so far on this from a genuine player is about 3.6 to 1 which is real hard to do.

You get the paralyze skill almost in the ending of the desert mission, inside the ship.
Try the Plasma Pistol, it's the best option.
Just like the shield works. After some time, your vehicle will repair itself. At least it works really well for me.

It's funny how players were screaming about big maps and vehicles in NOVA 3. Where do you want to drive those vehicles if not in big maps?

You can become invincible using consumables that you buy from pause - left part of the screen but when you're invincible you have a blue sphere around you.

He did have a jet back, but no blue sphere. He just hovered there the entire round without moving and changing weapons constantly. he was completely invincible the entire time. I put over 200 rounds into him. I have the player's name, but I really don't believe gameloft does anything to the hackers.
