Looking at the UK app store reviews all the top reviews are praising the game with no mention of ipad 3 losing visuals and terrible frame rates, really? :/

I doubt gameloft care, they just want the quick bucks.

I would also love them to add in a region filter for multiplayer, the lag is way too bad in this game for playing oversea opponents and looking at the lobbies I have no idea if the host is in England or not.

This game is so goooood. It's running like butter on both multiplayer and campaign on my iPhone 4s and basically the same on iPad 3. I'm not sure what people were talking about. That was the last time I read a thread prior to release. I'm so impressed with the game. And mp is just sick. Flawless connection everyone on Verizon Fios 25mb up and down.

Sanuku San! Does this game allow you to customize the controls ala MC3? You know, move them around?

That's just it: I do see the difference, aliasing aside. It looks sharper overal on Retina. Users should be allowed to have a choice, just like NOVA 3 should give users a choice in the next update.
What GoF did isn't new either: I know a few other games that allow you to tweak the graphics fidelity to your liking.
And I do understand the creed of iOS (gaming): simplicity and that it just works. Sure. But it's just one extra button in the graphics option that switches between two fixed presets.
I understand Gameloft keeping it strict and will probably just change the rez and that is it (if at all), but from the developers of GoF I expected more. Especially because the option has already been implemented!

Guys, I don't know what is this, but... I met a guy who was knifing (almost) every people in the match... and he was too far... and by "too far" I mean he was in the bridge, while I was in those ramps, in the city map... Bug or hack?

As soon as you load up a Mission and then Pause it you can enter the Controls. Now scroll down and you will see the Customize Interace Option. When you enter it you will be able to move around the Controls.

Totally agree, I wish everyone could experience how good this game is. This game is done so well. Campaign and multiplayer are incredible ! I'm just super impressed how far games on the iPhone have come along.

I'm surprised to see myself write this, but the storytelling is actually picking up. I don't care much for the overarching narrative and metaplot, and the world and premise are both rather bareboned (in traditional generic Gameloft fashion), but the voice acting is more immersive than most, if not all, Gameloft titles, there are some unexpected twists and turns, there is an ocasionally palpable sense of urgency and last-stand desperation, and Kal even lets slip his boring silent protagonist archetype to grow both angry and just a hint of desperate.

I find myself immersed (even if only casually, very temporarily), for one of the few times ever in a Gameloft title.

    Funny fact:

Nova 3 runs at an much smoother frame rate if you connect your iPad 3 with hdmi through your tv set,720p is very smooth but ofcourse still had the missing effects..
Btw why did all of a sudden all the gameloft employees dissapear who used to post on this forum? They had no issues into promoting Nova 3 before it was released, after releasing this broken Turd they suddenly became deaf, dumb and blind?lol

Still no official reply from gameloft About this broken turd on the new iPad?
Blind, deaf and dumb is probably the only feedback we can expect from gameloft these days lol.

Surely you must notice frame drops when some enemies are on the screen? the game is smoothish when you just walk about but once you fight things it chugs, same with multi once a few players are in one area and you start to shoot the frame rate just becomes low.

As for lag online I presume most players are american so you get a good ping, for me in the uk I can shoot someone and they die a second later, if they move in that second the shot is a miss even though I get the X appear on the screen to say I hit them. This game doesn't use client side hit for actual damage so that crosshair is actually lieing most of the time.

As much as I want to love this game and I loved nova 1 so much, it's a sloppy rush job, they didn't say ipad 3 was going to lose features thus false advertising and then not even a region search for online games makes online a random gamble to play correctly.

I'm being honest when I say on my ipad3 I didn't really notice much slowdown at all and I've been gaming with ios for a long time. Now galaxy in fire is a different story but this for some reason is running good.

But nothing about making multiplayer playable for iPhone 4/iPad 1 users? Where could I get in touch with him? The GL forums?

    awesome

wow, i loved the first and 2nd games of this series but this one obviously tops them both put together. i don't see how some people think the campaign is boring, i for one dig it. it has varied locales, enemies(i hate those robo spiders), and weapons(mech, tanks included). the enemy AI is a little lenient at times but generally works well. the story is nothing to write home about but the gameplay is awesome in the campaign. i love FPS on my 360 and ps3 and if this was on a console, i would play it. the multiplayer is the meat of the game and from what i played, hackers aside, it is near perfect and will definitely have a great following, me included. game is well worth the price of admission. the controls are also great and can be customized by moving the buttons where ever you want, which really helps when playing on the iPad. i use the iPad 2 and it runs flawlessly in single player, while in multiplayer it also runs great but has a tiny bit of lag on occasion. all in all this game is awesome and well worth buying for just single player or just multiplayer, but i suggest playing both.

Well it's really easy to do in nova 3. If you shoot with a shotgun through any objects (like glass) the frame will drop to 10-15 for a second. This happens also when there's a lots of ennemies on screen.
