The multiplayer is epic way ether than mc3. All it needs are bug fixes no fog whatsoever -____- maps like lost world and borderland need the fog reduced -____- the rest of the maps play smooth )
Well I finally got the promo for Nova 3 Single player is exactly what I was expecting...it truely is a ho-hum experience much like in Nova 2, but damn the graphics are really nice on the iPad 2. Its a dull single player, but it became a lot more fun when turning off the ridiculous auto aim. And the on rails stuff is kind of annoying. I think a 2.5/5 is a perfect score for the single player. Multiplayer is A LOT better. Haven't gotten any lag and I'm in a place with low bandwidth to boot. It's fast and it's a lot of fun, but I don't know why I have to keep having to turn off the auto aim. Maps are generally pretty nice too. So kudos to GL for turning out another good multiplayer FPS...they definitely need to work on their single player FPS campaigns in the future though.
I'm sorry.. But I'm not being paid to advertise.. Haven't gotten any lag yet, neither did I surprisingly with GoF 2 HD. Btw my receipt hasn't came in yet, anyway.
I love jetpacks sooo much! But yeah it's cheap as hell especially in instagib... Jetpack over someone and the melee is so easy
If you play GoF 2 HD at full Retina resolution on the iPad 3 you *will* experience severe lag whenever a space station is on screen. Period.
You don't need to tell me I'm a noob. I'm sickened of that word from MW3(POS BTW). I have no issues playing on touchscreen(2 K/D in MC3, never got lower), I too prefer it over analog sticks. Analog lack any kind of precision, there just isn't any(at least not in a fast paced FPS). As for aim assist, it only disturbs me, ever since MC: Sandstorm I've disabled it. I don't understand what you people want Apple to give you, their GPU is by far the best. The resolution is simply too high, not even the best mobile GPU can cope with it. As for RAM, I quite assure you 1GB is enough this time. iPad 3 is no iPad 1 in this regard.
We don't "want" anything from apple and we agree with you! We are asking Gameloft to do half the resolution to keep all those shiny graphical effects and a stable framerate. Like IB II did and GoF will be like that too in the next update! (oh and you could be surprised about what a mobile gpu can offer: http://www.fudzilla.com/home/item/25532-imagination-releases-new-powervr-gpus)
Campaign's running surprisingly well on iPhone 4 and I (have mentioned this numerous times) honestly have no intention of even trying multiplayer, but hell...even for iPhone, it would be awesome if we were given the option to lose retina and keep all the bells and whistles that are present on the iPad 2.
So, it's like MC3 ? Because MC3 in my iphone4 was fine in the campaign. Can you recommend it? Thanks.
I spent the better part of the last 48 hours deciding whether to get this or not and in the end, I'm glad I did. Yeah, there are a few hitches along the way, but so far (Lost Ark, 3rd level) it's running much, much better than I thought it would. No regrets... and yeah, even though this will be down to $0.99 in the future (who are we kidding, they always do), $7 for this is a steal.
The number of bugs in this game is pathetic, just like the framerate, the MP lag and the controls (WTF they've done with the sprint button).
wow, DX11 on a mobile GPU. I really have no words for this. I'm still hoping GL just rushed the game and didn't optimize it for quad core, maybe it can work at full res with effects too.
Gl_Callum a community rep from gameloft said that he was forwarding our complaints about the game on the new ipad, there's still hope
Wait what? GoF will *remove* the option to have it on Retina and run it at half resolution by default? Apart from the station sequences the framerate is more then acceptable. You would think that it's nothing more but an optimization issue with the sudden level of detail or something like that. My current experience (started with Valkery) is a stable framerate for 90 percent of the time. I can live with the hiccups when I enter and leave the station. It looks gorgeous in Retina resolution! That's fantastic news! You can almost call this a flagship title as they truly aimed to be the shiniest game on the AppStore. They better take their claims seriously and have the latest installment of the iPad render all the shiny stuff. Currently it's nothing more then an ironic joke.
Well if they add more AA and lower the res you won't see the difference and the framerate should be butter smooth but I understand your frustration.
it's kinda late, but i'm downloading this now. i can't resist after seeing you guys saying this FPS is so damn great, even on iphone 4
