No, GL can't "detect" hacking. I don't think. They just rely on players to report the cheating *****

yes, NOVA 3 is far better than xbox games.
In terms of graphics, specificlly, NOVA 3 is console quality depends on how you understand that. It can't compare with COD or Arkham City in xbox 360, some details even can't catch up with Modern Combat 3 in app store, but it's better than Sims, Dynasty Warriors and Rainbox Six in xbox 360.

Actually the server does record if a hack or modified ipa is used. It's just that the hackers have bypassed the security measures that are supposed to block them.
When you report the hacking scumbags, about as polite as I can be about them, the server has log files that they check against user names game history for modified files and when detected, they reset their ranks.

Not to me, I find Nova 3 a step up. I love Mc3 and Nova2 but I found that when Mc3 was released, there were some bugs and overall I found it a little more difficult to play than Nova 3.

Overall, all three of these games are amazing

Well, I learned something new today.

Hopefully, IF I can mod it, it'll just be detected as an iPad 2 version.

looking at sanukus videos it looks like it runs great on the ipad 3, what is the problem people are having ? does it run better on ipad 2? ipad 3 is still pretty new and programmers have not mastered the architecture yet, and i think alot of the problems is the games being in the retina resolution on the ipad well the textures are also that res and thats what causing all the issues.

If they built the textures at the retina resolution 2048x1536 , then scaled them down to 1024x768 like the ipad2 res then apply it to the models it would run games in retina resolution without all the issues of slow down since the texture size footprint is much smaller at a scaled down res of 1024 but the models are in 2048x1536, similair to normal mapping in new console games they have to do this to get games to run smoothly on aging console hardware without loosing alot of quality....this same issue for galaxy on fire 2 hd would fix it...

There's quite a lot of framerate issue, we lack a lot of graphical effects (like dop, heatwaves...). Yes that's the same issue with GoF but they actually need to build the textures at a resolution between 1024 and 2048 for it to run great and look great at the same time. Now we're waiting for gameloft to patch it : )

This is the problem for me (see the picture)... I can understand that because of the new hardware maybe they have issues with framerates or other stuff and this is accepted for me (that's why i am not complain for poor framerate as others), but to deactivate so many stuff for the major iOS device (in terms of power and performance) just to keep the original res, is a drop down and wrong strategy imo.

P.S: I agree that the GOF2 solution is the right for Nova3 also.

    Holy hell!
That's like a completely different game to what's on iPad 2 or iPhone 4s.
    That is disappointing.

I know, I just wish gameloft would port the game to the Vita. It'd work so much better there. I really don't understand why they always port their worst games when a new console launches. :(

This game is buggy as hell! In the first mission I've got stuck and died(wtf?) and fell down below the map. Besides the controls are awfull - I can't aim precisely, because crosshair jumps weirdly. when I aim enemies right in them they doesn't aleays get hurt, but when I'm not aiming exactly on them - they got hit. This is really annoying, plus the enemies are really dumb - if you are standing far away from them they are not attacking you. I hope it would be fixed soon.

I am playing on iPhone 4, and it's not that smooth like others said it is on ipt4. Maybe its because i have some cydia programs installed.

I'd totally play this in 1024 res to have all the effects. Doesn't even look that bad when running non native games.
