Of course it's legit, the video is from gameloft itself! This was a teaser trailer. not a cinematic trailer. Teaser trailers are supposed to tease you like this.
It's hard for me to imagine Gameloft pushing graphics that good. If that's the real deal and not a cinematic (the part with the shiny door and awesome looking gun), that's unbelievable. This game better be 3rd/4th gen only.
it looks like gameloft had two different groups working on modern combat and this at the same time. it will be interesting to see which side makes out a better game. although it's hard for me to really think of how nova 2 can be better. the original modern combat was worse than the original nova, but i really doubt nova 2 is gona beat mc2. i mean there's no way their toppin the multiplayer, and the campaign for mc2 is amazing.
Why would it be hard to imagine? Aside from Epic and Epic Citadel, Gameloft makes games with the best graphics IMO. And that part with the gun and door opening is definitely gameplay footage not a cinematic because it includes the HUD. The iPhone 4 is easily capable of running a game with that quality of graphics.
Yeah but Gameloft hasn't taken advantage of OpenGL 2.0 very much yet. This seems to be like 100% Gl 2.0.
Well there is the Red-Green Damage effect and the kill zoom motion blur in MC2, also there seems to be some sort of colour change when you walk into another room, so like when you look into a room it's darker than when you're actually in it.
Nova was one of the best games I've played on the ipod touch,and now that Nova2 is coming with enhanced graphics,probably a better campaign as well,im gonna have to buy this on day one
